Can’t wait to see the comparison! Curious on your thoughts of the Griots vs. the Flex as I’m considering purchasing one of them.

coming very soon been using the Griots polisher almost every single day on various projects its a neat tool. I despise the Flex but I will still show it in my video and explain why.

Thanks so much! The Griot’s polisher looks like a really innovative tool. I’ll be on the lookout for your video.

Apparently Rupes is working on a new trigger design for the HLR75 (similar to their pneumatic tools) that will make it harder to unintentionally turn the machine on. I believe there will be retrofit kits available (which will probably be free for people who already own the tool).

I pray you are correct the Rupes machine is outstanding in every way I must have well over 100 hours on mine but that stupid trigger is a huge design flaw. The inverter is also no ETA, where did you hear of the retrofit kit for this machine can you share a link or something?

I just don't want to eventually have to spend money on batteries to keep using my polisher. When your first batteries eventually are not good anymore, you'll have to spend big bucks on new ones. I'll never have to spend a hundred bucks just to use a corded polisher.

I have one of the older design rupes and it takes 1. 2. And 3 inch discs and pads .. it's a life saver
My family hates me bc I have a glass top range and I use it without care , burn it , scratch the heck out of the glass .. Doesn't matter .. A hard blue pad with glass polish cleans off all the burnt on mess and then one more drop of polish per burner will polish out the micro scratches .. I just did it in fact and it looks brand new .. I also use it to polish my porcelain sinks bc I guess the tooth paste just eats into the pores leaving them hazy no matter how you clean them ..
I use it to polish my stainless sink in the kitchen and sometimes to pull scratches from my stainless oven , microwave, fridge and dishwasher .. I use my big 6 inch griots to polish the porcelain in my shower and it takes about 10 minutes and it looks brand new..
Oh and I do use them on my mustang GT350 as well as that is why I bought them and what they were first intended for lol
Get one , it takes the back break out of all the toughest house cleaning jobs .. Just make sure you test the pad with the proper polish bc the wrong agressive polish or pad can tear up an appliance in just a few seconds..
And I know a lot of you guys don't do the house cleaning. So turn your wife onto this. Just buy her the right polishes and tell her which one to use where and she will never ever again question you on any car detail product you want. She will love you forever..
My mother wanted one very badly but it was expensive so she declined. Once I figured out she didn't buy it. I went and bought her one myself to make cleaning her home. Much much easier. I gave her a list of the proper pads to use with the proper polish and she says that she actually looks forward to cleaning day because all of the back-breaking jobs can be done with the polisher in just minutes..
Yeah it cost a good bit but it is a all-around multi-purpose tool and it is absolutely worth every penny especially when you use it on the car in the very tough to read spots that the 6-in orbital can't get to

You know after getting the Detail Division aftermarket backing plate kit , including 2”,1” pads and rotary extension I don’t even see a need for the new Rupes machine. The Flex gets everything done super easy, while the trigger to a few times to get right it’s still better than the Rupes trigger. More power than the Griots , less than the Rupes machine but it’ll do everything from 3”-1” in all applicable applications. Imagine trying to use a wax with that Rupes machine. The Griots would be better than that for waxing. Having to sit and hold it like a palm sander would make your hand so tired. Imo the Flex because it’s versatility is still the best micro, mini cordless polisher. Especially at 2”.

What do you think of an extra water spot remover step to see if it can bring back any hydrophobics? Also as someone down SOUTH in Louisiana, can confirm the bugs are different here 😂

Idk what folks are complaining about the Rupes control lever. I have no problems with it. Maybe because im MORE mindful of activating the lever accidentally. People just dont think nowadays.

The Rupes 'sounds' like a stronger polisher. hope they fix the trigger soon, should be like my DeWalt Pole saw.

Rupes is 18V the Griots is 12v both awesome machines but the Griots is more versatile in design. the Rupes trigger is a huge issue for the user love the tool hate being sprayed with polish all the time i flip the tool to load my pads.

I love to hear your thoughts as to why you say that. I am looking at some type of mini or micro hybrid polisher. I was looking at the EB210 or the Micro Hybrid. Otherwise, either the G13 and / or the Griots GR3. Many who have tried it have nothing but great things to say about the EB210. Even the reviews that I have seen, like Brian at Apex detail and others, have rated it well.
      Thank you👍

I have both the iBrid and the flex 3in which is the same exact machine as griots. Personally prefer the Flex. The rupes overheats pads too easily and also the build seems cheap. German polishers FTW!!

yea all of Rupes new stuff sounds and feels cheap. Clicking the battery in that 3 inch feels so cheesy, even Griots feels more robust. A lot of that white trim starts peeling quickly. I prefer the new milwaukee orbital

Griots wins for me it's smaller, has a flex head and can also use a cord if you battery dies which is awesome.e and takes the same cord if you have any other griots polisher
