Thanks for the "small stuff" like the shot of lifting and turning at the headland. Helpful for a newbie. It does look like a pretty field, got to hope it works out as you intend. A learning experience for all. Best.
Great looking rows Joe! It might take a while but once you get those disks set right, they do a great job. I hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend and Memorial Day!
If you need some more Jimmy Red for next year just holler. I've got an acre and a half up and growing well. Planted a 1/4 acre last year and have plenty of seed in the freezer.
I like the way that flat cutter cuts the top of the row down and flattens it out. I’m sure that will be a better bed to plant any seed in and as you say it should catch what ever water falls from the sky or sprinkler either one. How long is that flat blade? I have a stalk cutter that might work but it’s not as long as what you have.
its a road grader blade that as a 10 year old boy when the state scraped the dirt road on a regular basis changed the old blade and left it on the side of the road. I knew it would be good for something one day. lol
Not sure if you need any seed plates but saw a seller has over a 100 plates and got good prices on them there the used plastic ones. Lots of part numbers it looked like. If you were looking for a certain size plate may be worth checking out.
Nice planter. Have you ever found anything else about these planters? When were they made, how many, etc. I’ve not been able to find any information. I have a 180 that mounts to the front cultivator frame on a toolbar. I have an owners manual for it which has been good for some adjustments.

Very good looking method. Gorgeous plot. I hope it rains for you.

Nice looking work. I have a set of those disc hillers and they really do a good job. Thanks for the video.

Thank you Keith I will keep that in mind . You never know how these crops are going to turn out.
I like the idea of that crossbar in front of the disk to help brace iam going to have to do that,my pieces are worn pretty bad on my tractors
Well Joe , if I had a prize you would be the winner. Nobody’s ever noticed when I do bedding I keep that on to keep the arms from moving. Good eye.

Don't blame you on the fertilizer!
How small of a seed can the 184 planter plant? Okra or onion can they be put out with the planter?😊
Okra is the smallest I’ve planted.

To be honest I’ve never really tried. Lol I might have to try one day. A owners manual would be nice.
It’s like looking for chicken teeth... lol. Take care

I enjoyed the video very much what part of the country are you guys from.
Hey Johnnie I’m in NC . County called Caswell.
how deep did you plant your sunflowers ?
I haven’t measured it . It’s the same as the corn and the sunflowers I planted last year at Rogers place.
