Definitely at his most hungry in music. Love the Get Rich and Massacre era but this tape is a masterclass from studying his inspirations.
It's his best bar work and his hungriest but GRODT is his prime. Prime is that point where they're past the point of being hungry, making their biggest hits and haven't fallen off yet.

It's a shelved album that was later released as a mixtape.
Tony Touch
Except it actually was a full studio album produced by trackmasters
I had never heard this before until I watched a show about 50cent... This so DOPE !!!
Millennial Mindsetter You must have been sleeping under a rock then lol.
Justin Brida Im a hip hop head and never heard of it , now what ?
@@ghettoblaster4life1 then you a hip hop head that don't know shittttttt about hip hop 😂
This Flow Is Legendary!! STRAIGHT CLASSIC!!
But of a Jay Z flow too, I hear it.
It's not a mixtape. It's an unreleased album when he was on Columbia Records.
MSitty 90 it is that... but isn't it categorised as a mixtape for legal reasons? In turn allows it to be uploaded on youtube...#loopholes 😀
MSitty 90 one of the bests no lie
The uploader isnt even allowed to upload without permission, no matter how you call it.
@Thomas Hlubin he got shot and the label got scared and dropped him. the song with destiny's child was actually the first single.
@Thomas Hlubin he was shot, so Columbia dropped him as they were sacred about the drama surrounding 50 back then
50 invented that gangster rap blended with r and b he created a genre of his own. Man these old New York mixtapes , the raw beats and old school flows hit different. Thanks for posting
There were many before him which blended the 2
He was definitely one of the best at it but certainly not one of the first.
50s recent Instagram photo of him and Nas brought me here
1162hunter lol same
U detective 🤣🤣🤣👍
Even 50 knew how to appreciate 25yrs of illmatic without saying anything. QGTM
Svpreme_carter add the IG
Queens legends
I listen to this album and it makes me wanna go get active in the streets I'm 32 now lol 😆 50 still gets me ready respect fift
One of my favourite 50s , went crazy on this mixtape
Its a album bro not a mixtape. Just was never released
Like bro said it was a fully fledged album produced by trackmasters they did tons of shit for nas aswell in those years
Best fuckin album of all time hands down
❤🎉 still here who's with me g g guint for life 🎉
This is prime 50, listen to his flow and lyrics he was ON POINT no murmuring since it was before he was shot he was vicious! the hunger is real
Not prime, early, but still classic
Definitely at his most hungry in music. It's a pretty safe album but he managed to make it extremely high quality which got him a lot of attention so he could eventually focus on making great hooks for radio. Love the Get Rich and Massacre era but this tape is a masterclass from studying his inspirations.
It's his best bar work and his hungriest but GRODT is his prime. Prime is that point where they're past the point of being hungry, making their biggest hits and haven't fallen off yet.
Still bumpin this joint in 2020.
I don't know if this is one of the best rap albums of all time, but it's definitely one of the ones I play the most. I love this shit from top to bottom lmao
A classic. Def one of the best rap albums ever made.
If you put it in your player, never touch the skip button, and play it for days, it's a classic.
One of the best raw mixtapes no doubt cuz he couldn’t have even been older than 20-22 in this
Remember when i had this cd i would bump this shit religiously
Man… this needs to officially come out.
Imagine if he put this as a bonus cd to Get rich 😮😮😮😮😮
When Wanksta came out I was locked up and I heard it and I thought someone stole 50 Cent’s name because I couldn’t recognize his voice. I was used to this voice. Wanksta sounded hella south to me.
I never listened to 50 mixes like this, but he killed his own career putting out free music. I counted nothing but HITS.
Killed his career? You realise the album he put out after this mixtape was and still is the biggest ever hip hop debut album
@@Benjamin-199 I don't mean like that. The mixtape game helped him alot, but what I mean is the same a D Block. No commerical hits because he ran out of music. 50 was dropping 80 songs a month crzy
Callate wey
This where that sad old greed comes in, This mixtape is one of the main things why 50 had so much hype around his name. Lot of the street people still say this is his best ever works. Why he have to make bread off it. He was showcasing how talented and authentic he is. Lot of street people didnt even start to rap for money they just wanted to rap
@@shadychris3402 It wasn’t about greed it’s about long jeopardy like Jay Z. Artist 50 cent, Dipset, Tpain had a strong mix tape game and chase the bag so they careers as rap artist fell short. Not saying they not great artist it’s making life time music. They used everything they had in a 5 year run.
Who still listen to this album in 2022 classic
50 Cent need to be the next GTA main character 💯💯💯
This is definitely the best album of his whole career, one of the best rap albums of those days and waaay better than a lot of albums today.
Lmao so just forget GRODT right ????????
@@TheGreatB.GRODT was cool, but 50 wasn’t lyrical like that on that album
@@TheGreatB.This is 1000 times better than grodt.
This album is on the top 3 best 50's albums
The whole world revolves around change, thats why i listen to 50 cent.
He said 50 Cent stands for the change ima bring to the game 🎯🔥🔥🔥
Shoutout to the guy that posted the album on here salute my g from New Jersey
I remember bumping this like 14 years ago when I was in 6th grade. Time flies but still remains a classic
This came out 20 years ago lol
Neo X what does that have to do with anything? Cool thanks for the info
@@neox9369 it actually never came out so it’s weird you’d say that
@@YoungTooks this debut album was scheduled to be released in 2000 but it was cancelled after 50 got shot.
@@omgurheadsgoneexactly he said it never got released because Columbia decided to shelve it. Not sure when the bootlegs starting coming out though.
THIS GOT JAY DNA ALL OVER IT, but the most versatile, lyrical, experimental 50 to date.
Yea, Jay low key was the inspiration to 50. But fif would never accept it
@@@arfenmalik1717 NAS DNA #FACKTZ JAY Z RAPPED LIKE A FU SHNICKAHZ TILL ILLMATIC POPED UP , JAY STOPED THAT FAST SHIT N CAME WIT A SLOWED NAS TYPE STYLE. DO UR RESERCH ITS THERE #FACTZ
@@seanchiefgall2364 nigga Nas got his shit from KGR what's your point? Get that dead shit outta here.
@@seanchiefgall2364 yea Jay bit Nas, big and wu
It’s December 2020 and this album sounds hotter than any album drop this year 50 was ahead of his time 🔥🔥🔥
Good old times, where rap music was story telling and gangster... #nostal-G
This mixtape is INSANE!
The later 80s and 90s were too violent for these stories not to be told. Truly a unique time for rap that we probably wont see again.
Different world in the 80’s and 90’s. Real Rap. Real world. No cameras everywhere.
This album fire, you can tell he was inspired by Jay Z on this one. He has that resonable doubt flow all over this jawn.
Nah Jay Z copied 50 after he saw 50 collaborating with UGK
@Pill Cosby its not about age, Jay-Z is not a trendsetter
@Pill Cosby Whats your point?
@@DC-yn8yl I agree, Jayz is known for spitting other niggas bars and biting their styles. Ain't saying he ain't a legend, just not a trend setter.
Michael Merrit Are you from Camden?
Fif was so legendary when Get Rich or Die Trying came out that it felt like a sin to buy it bootleg 😂. I looked at the bootleg man, said na cant do it fam and went across the street to Circuit City(Atlantic Terminal).
He should put this back out this harder then get rich or die trying
Was banging this album like most of everybody here when we were younger… times were hard then, and recently times have gotten hard as an adult, so I’ve come back to this for motivation! That 50 motivation…
Thankyou 50!
NORE is the ultimate witness. He been in on all beginnings the last 30 years. Like all of them
This shit ridiculous 🔥🔥🔥🙌🏻50 was on another level
I bought The Massacre when I was 9-10 years old and the flow and this sound was my world as a young boy... he was a King and a Legend together with Eminem and I think they are forever Legends for me... :-)))
This is EXACTLY how i LOVE my HIP HOP!!!
LOYALTY IS LIMITED.
A THIEF IS ONLY AFTER MY SALARY,
A LIAR IS AFTER MY REALITY.
REALIST SHIT I EVER HEARD LOVE U FIF
If you caught this tape in 2002 you ain’t miss much
50 was RAW at this time & no one was effing with him. The stories was real and uncut. That’s what made him great at this time.
“From a scale of 1 to 10 I’m a 9 with two m’s”
Dope line!!
