I have a similar paracord wrist strap. You put it on backwards.
The fabric end goes through the loop on the camera and the metal loop is what creates the loop that tightens onto your wrist.

There are several brands of strap systems but one I have used for 15 years with no failures is Op/Tech. I use their sling strap system and wrist strap. Very well USA made, lifetime warranty, and excellent pricing.

The leather tag at the mounting point of the Comfortable Cotton Strap is there to protect the body of the camera when mounted correctly.. The paracord was also incorrectly attached.

The big metal ring on the paracord strap is to create a loop for your wrist....the part with the paracord loop
attaches to the camera body as described very clearly on the Amazon product page

That was clear to me just from seeing it in the video! I haven't seen this one on Amazon yet.

I recommend the Joby wrist strap. Cheap, light, comfortable and self-sinching in case of a drop.

I purchased the Altura strap for my Canon 7D and liked it, so I ordered one for my Lumix FZ80...only to find that the tripod mount hole is off-centered and the strap is too loose and cannot be adjusted enough to make it fit. Just a heads-up for anyone considering this strap for their camera. Thank you for this informative video!

Hmm... for me my main concern is resisting a pull from a stranger trying to steal my camera. It's never happened but I have received death threats to my face to turn over my camera on the streets. I know most of the time they are just trying to intimidate, but I'm always afraid that someone might try to snatch my camera like they do with cellphones and break the tiny metal parts that the wrist strap attaches to.

Two options. Business insurance or a Glock 26.

@@rumporridge1 I don't have a business and it's hard to do option #2 when you are traveling to other countries, which is where this type of stuff usually happens (a good pocket knife should do the trick). I just think I need to find the best wrist band for these type of situations.

@@funcisco hey check out the Ona wrist strap. I have a black and brown one. Leather is well made and very comfortable. Price is great too.

    Little update:
I have Large/XL size hands in gloves. I tried the USA Strap and the strap is just too small. It barely covered my hand and was more uncomfortable than comfortable.
Keep in mind if you tend to meed L/XL gloves.
Its crazy because either they changed the design or Ive got hufe hands compared to this video because yours covers your whole back of your hand, the one i got didnt even go from one side to the other.

Sorry Sir, nor I like this kind of wrist straps and Apple watches neither. Prefer Peak design clutch or Small Rig wrist straps way more.
