To clear up the Seven Sirens' soundtrack was not composed by Jake Kaufman, but by Professor Sakamoto.
Jake Kaufman was unavailable unfortunately.
The only problem I have with the Seven Sirens soundtrack is that there were too many chiptunes.
Don't get me wrong, I love chiptunes, but they went way overboard with this.
It's one of my favourite soundtracks regardless of that, but I kinda wanna hear non-chiptune renditions now
Kaufman was no stranger to chiptunes, but he saved it for a few songs per game. Like Cackle Tower in Pirate’s Curse.
The composers for Seven Sirens did a respectable job, but i agree using chiptunes for almost every music track felt uninspired. Hopefully the next Shantae game will feature some more diverse sounding compositions.
@@sonicrunn3r895 Yeah... I just want to hear them in non chiptune form, since I feel the soundtrack would work so much better. I was personally hoping someone would have remixed the whole soundtrack at this point, but not much so far.

Shantae music is always appreciated, it’s so good. Also, some others have mentioned it, but Jake was not the composer for Seven Sirens.

Did just want to correct the description though - Jake Kaufman sadly wasn't at the helm for SatSS's music, being busy with other projects - it was a team lead by Professor Sakamoto.

Correction, Jake Kaufman had nothing to do with the soundtrack on this game. They instead hired a team of composers to work on it. According to wayforward, he was busy for this game with another project, so he would have been the composer if he wasn’t busy. The composers are Kentaro Sakamoto, Mark Sparling, Madeline Lim, and Gavin Allen

I just bought this game. I now officially have the whole series, and honestly, 7 Sirens is already on its way to being at least my 2nd favourite just after Pirate's Curse.

I'm sure he's mentioned this at some point on his streams, but I only watch his CZcams highlights... Can anyone tell me why he decided to switch to a headset boom mic? I'm sure it's a lot easier to deal with but it also sounds so much worse than the dedicated mic on the boom arm he used to have.

Sadly Jake Kaufman wasn't responsible for this game's OST, and personally I like the OST of the previous two games better. However, there is still some great music from Seven Sirens! I love the Coral Mine and Tree Town in particular

Honestly the best track in the game, too bad it comes with the most confusing dungeon in Seven Sirens. (Probably just a me thing)
