Mia I love you and I love your content but here I must say I am at loss with the response (or lack thereof) given by a lot of spiritual influencers. I understand that it is definitely a time not to add more fuel to the fire and generate more division. However. In this particular situation we have a very clear, factual situation where people have been deprived of their most basic human rights, have their access to food and water controlled for the past 75 years. The recent actions on both sides have been evil, there is no debating that.
Yet there is a HUGE power imbalance between an apartheid state vs. a group that is the tiniest subset of a nation that is severely paying the price and soon to be genocide. Leading with love also requires standing up for justice for all human beings. It is not about taking a side, it is about standing against apartheid and genocide.
People often ask what role they would have played during WWII? The resistance or the ones who watched and did/said nothing? Same question for the apartheid in South Africa.
And now today.
Please, it is time to change the story and learn from our past.

@@lifebymelanie I'm not expressing an opposing point of view to Mia's video here. Yes to self care and nervous system regulation tools, they are very much needed rn. The point made here was on how the very people that make a living out of sharing spiritual content are avoiding a concrete position or commitment. Standing up against the genocide of Palestinans doesn't mean you are taking a stance against Israeli people but against its governing body. Ethnic cleansing shouldn't be something that is in the grey area. But the silence and tiptoeing of many of these influencers generate a very icky, a very nauseous feeling for many of us.

Telling people in war to 'look for the lesson' is tone deaf at best. If anything their souls are here to hold a mirror to our collective shadow. Here and now we are witnessing in plain sight a genocide from an apartheid state. This is not about taking sides. It is about standing up for humanity. Would you have said to the Jews that got exterminated during WW2 to look for the lesson and that you couldn't take sides because let's not polarise the crowd? Spiritual influencers need to do better.
The problem is that my Palestinian friends feel the same way. Violence is not the answer, and in actuality, NO ONE except those experiencing these atrocities first hand could possibly know what to say to anyone. Your response to me is exactly the type of micro warring that just isn’t helping anything and is further perpetuating the issue we all want to stop. I didn’t tell anyone to look for the lesson right now as if it would be easy to find it. I said that I hope some day they will understand what their survival taught them. Which every victim of trauma i have ever met who is on a healing journey has found eventually.
@@miamagik When I talk about genocide I am speaking to the current genocide of Palestinians (apartheid state being the Israeli state). Reason why I am referring to the extermination of the Jewish people is to highlight the cosmic joke that we are witnessing today the same atrocities but with a different target and coming from a supposed Jewish ideology (it is not, it is Zionism). Thankful to all the Jewish people that do not identify in any shape of form with that movement and advocate against it. This isn't about creating more quarrel but about the agonising plea of the 2 millions people trapped on Gazan soil. It is about spiritual influencers using vague and evasive language to deflect from taking a stand against the genocide of the Palestinians that is happening in front of our eyes. We will not be able to say that we didn't know.
