Today I will tell you how I care for my indoor scindapsus pictus plants. Scindapsus are some of my favorite indoor plants because they are such easy care plants. They have incredible shimmery foliage & UGH! LOVE THAT. I talk about the kind of lighting, how to water & fertilize, as well as how to propagate these plants. I also show you my entire scindapsus houseplant collection tour!
Here's a link to liquidirt plant food!

Thanks Harli
there are worm castings in the liquidirt :)
Thank you so much! I’ve been waiting for a link for a while now lol I never knew which one was the right fertilizer you were always talking about😅
What happened to the Scindapsus Lucens?!
thank youuu!
Drove 30 minutes to my favorite nursery. Saw an exotica but passed it up due to the price.
Drove home and immediately regretted not making the purchase.
Took another 30 minute drive and got her!
THAT’S how amazing this plant is! 😍
I did that with cebu. No regerts
How much was it ??
When watering your plants, tip the pot 45 degrees to drain in order to remove the excess water retained in the bottom layer. This will help prevent overwatering and this is most important in the winter.
I do this. ☺️☺️
It`s true. You gotta do it !
Do I own a scindapsus? No. Dig I watch because of Harli? Absolutely
love you (:
Want one of these plants so bad ahhhhhh
Can I just say how beautiful and smooth Harli’s skin is looking these past few days?! I mean, OMG! Gorgeous!
Wow, thank you!
Your exotica is one of my favorites of all your plants. It is so beautiful.
*gets up and moves my exotica away from the window*
I literally have mine hanging in my south window 😢
Lol!! Me too!
Mine loves my south window. I do keep a light filtering curtain on my window so no direct sun but it’s very happy.
me rn!
hahaha im dead
Protip for the Europeans in the comment section: the Exotica is called Trebie over here!
So happy I found out about that, I couldn't find an Exotica for the life of me :'')
And scindapsus treubii is moonlight
Wow, I just commented about my confusion and if they are the same plant 😅🤣 Thanks for your comment! 💚
I always thought the Trebie is a hybrid? I sure it is just a synonym name for the exotica?
Oh! Thank you, I was confused about the names!
Oh my gosh, this is perfect timing! I literally ordered a Scindapsus Exotica after seeing yours last week. It should arrive tomorrow! Thanks for sharing your tips!
Your glowing girl! Love your channel and vids! You’ve inspired me to venture into my own planty endeavors ❤️🌱 Thank you do all you do!
Thank you so much ! I’ve been looking for an updating scindapsis video. They are on my top 3 list for sure!
Your exotica is goals! I love my Silver Lady, she took awhile to do anything, but now she’s constantly putting out new growth! 🤍
My best friend got one from her mom at thanksgiving and I just sent her this link! Great timing!!! 🪴
My Scindapsus Exotica has the largest leaves by far. I love that Jade one. So velvety! 🤩
Just bought a silver satin, thanks for this video! Every time I buy a plant I watch your channel for care.
Congrats on the new baby!!❤
I have a silvery ann and it is the fastest growing plant I own. It’s beautiful, I want to get more of them.
Thank you for the video.
Scindapsus is my favorite genus! I now have four varieties and have been working on rooting exotica, which I finally got some of the cuttings to do in a Leca prop box. I’m super happy to hear it really does like low light. I’ve seen my Silvery Ann needs more light to maintain the silver. Jade Satin is top of my wishlist and I’m also happy to hear this is an easier care (at least for you!) plant I can’t get enough of dark, velvety sheen foliage!!!
Loved this video!! As a newbie, very helpful that you rank in difficulty level and so many tips on how to have them do well. I will be looking for the exotica!
Side note, also will be looking for that type of hair tie, it's super cute
Scindapsus is definitely one of my wishlist plants!!
They’re so beautiful 🥺 I might just have to gift it to myself for Christmas lol
Thank you! I love scindapsus and wasn't aware so many varieties. I will try the prop box with spagnum to get more!
Agree my plants were up next to a west window and they were always curled and hated it but now they are about 8 feet back and they are growing super fast especially with the higher humidity and the leaves on my exotica are getting massive with all the humidity 🥰
Just got my first one! Glad to look back through your videos to find a care vid ❤️
So happy to catch a premiere!
I love Scindapsus! Especially Exotica. Mine is under a purple grow light that most of my plants don't care for and give me puny winter leaves. Not lady Exotica. She grows slower in this situation but puts out consistently beautiful leaves. My best to you and your family...love hearing that baby in the background.
I love Scindapsus Harli and this video!🌿
Love this comprehensive video on the variety. Would like to see more like this. Also love the brows and lips today
I own an argyreus and a silvery ann. The silvery ann is hanging in a south window and its living her best life! She is 50/50 silver/green its soooo gorgeous 🤩
Scindapsus are my favorite! Thanks for making this video :)
Just needed this today. Thanks Harli 🌺
I just got my second scindapsus, the silver satin. It's so gorgeous! I also have the argyraeus (I think, or the silvery Anne?). Definitely some of my favourites in my collection!
I really liked it! Thanks for the tips!
Thank you so much for this information! Totally helpful!!
Love love loveee your videos Harli!!
So happy seeing this video! I'm a scindapsus collector too!
You are the best. I love your videos! Great sponsor too!
My exotica is next to a south window and gets a couple hours of direct light in the afternoon and it loves it! It’s grown sooo much. It was the first plant I got that had roots growing out the bottom in no time
How convenient I literally just received a scindapsus exotica in the mail this morning! 😌💚
Enjoy !♡
Jelous! I want scindapsus so bad
This helped me a lot! I got this exotica and had no idea what this plant kid needed. Thanks so much!~
Yes! Thank you! I can't seem to keep them alive but I also keep buying them and try again!
I have 8 varieties and I want them ALL. my favorite genus of all time
AGREED where have you had success getting the more rare varieties??
Me too..I have 5 working on getting them all!!! Good hunting to you
@@blamekara Etsy
I love the closeup of the leaves you did
YOURE SO PRETTY HARLI🥺😍
They all look lovely!
Fascinating! I have two Scindapsus The Silver and the Exotica. The silver is actually hanging at a west facing window and has been doing well. The other (exotica) is hanging at a north facing window. They are doing well and of course letting them dry pretty much before watering.
Great info here. I like the propagation piece
Ive missed your videos harli! Good to see your face again 💚
Loved this, thank you for making it!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yessss this video is so good!
Very informative. I love your voice. Not shrill, not too loud or high pitched. You're very well informed about houseplants and you're very interesting.
I have my exotica a little ways back from a west facing window. So far, so good. I have my argryaeus is in a east facing window. I've only had it for a week or so. It seems happy.
I had no idea there were so many varieties- they are all uniquely beautiful
I just got an exotica yesterday. It was an unrooted cutting from etsy so I chopped it up and hopefully will have 5 new ones. Its everything I hoped for. So happy I found out this plant exists
Love them. Hope to have the green someday. 😃 Shocked found s Silvery Ann two weeks ago at Lowe’s! 😃
Thanks Harli. I was so inspired by your video i have just ordered silvery ann on a moss pole and a large hanging Argyreaus. I dont doubt i will get the Exotica as its easier and exotic at a later date if i have got any more space! (some hope,as my house is turning into a regular jungle....)
Hi Harli, I have the Silver Splash and it is reverting too, I also have the Exotica, Argyraeus and the Jade.
Thanks for sharing skill share too! Envious that you have so many varieties of Scindapsus! Catch up with you there, hopefully!
Ran over here after I roasted mine on my south side of my house. I'm so used to my light-hogging pothos and syngonium plants that I shocked the poor guy! It's so helpful to hear you even keep yours in a north window, meaning I don't need to be panicked about moving him back a good bit across the room. I forget how far light travels! I know this is an older video, but the tips are still appreciated
This video came at the perfect time, I just got an exotica this week! Yours looked so beautiful so I got one... literal definition of I saw Harli G has an exotica so I got an exotica LOL
I just got one yesterday! They're in high demand apparently, I was able to get a 4in... super tiny so I am definitely going to take care of it and can't wait for it to mature!
I love your videos so much!
I just got an argyraeus like 2 days ago, i think its my fave plant in my collection! 😍 ive watched a few videos but unfortunately everyones weather conditions are very different than mine so ive just been winging it with basically all of my plant so 🤞🏼
Love the scindapsis exotica! It took awhile to find, but Etsy came through. Great info Harli 💕
Yay! Thank you!
Scindapsus are my favorite genus right now. I do find, tho, that they all have different care. I did a stupid and put 4 varieties of Scindapsus in a big plant box and they all behave differently. My exotica is so hearty and forgiving. The Silvery Ann and Argyerus are thirstier and more delicate. I probably should have planted just the Jade Satin with the Exotica since they’re so tough. My Treubii, moonlight and dark, are just so so special. Great video!
Amazing! Thank you for the informative video. I so love scindapsus. I have most of the variety you've shown except jade satin. My favorite currently is trebuii moonlight and its dark form. Btw, I'm from yhe Philippines.
Cripes, love the satin jade, never seen before 🤗
Love love the Exotica I just have a small one its taking it's time growing. I really like the Jade. Thanks for this video I needed all the advice for my Exotica.
Thanks for watching!
These are your best videos, just you talking endlessly about your plants! Love me some Harli wisdom 💕
Definitely gonna get a scindapsus exotica as soon as I've move to my new house
Thank you for this video bc it's perfect!! I just killed a scindapus pictus cutting after putting it in soil and just purchased a new one. I hope with your tips I don't kill this new plant!! 😁💜
pleeease do more care videos!! maybe some on more rare plants? i love learning about your experiences and hearing your insight :)
More to come!
Still trying to find a scindapsus but when I do this video will help me a lot !! Thanks
Thank you so much for sharing those brilliant tips! Watching from China, keep going
I have cuttings of a Silver Pothos scindaptus in water right now. Excited for them to watch them root!
Your skin is GLOWING 🥰
Your exotica is what got me into plants this year! It’s my fav. I have a baby one.
I’ve always wanted one of these plants 🪴 ❤️
Thanks for answering a question I have had about long vines with no leaves. Your plant is sooo gorgeous.
Glad it was helpful!
😩😩I’ve been wanting a scindapsus jade for forever!! Love your videos! Thank you for your insight!
Same! I have moonlight, dark form, argyraeus, exotica, silvery anne, and silver lady. I just need the jade, won’t be upset if I get hero, platinum, and mint as well lmao not sure about the splash esp after seeing Harli’s reverted one lol
@@rubyrose49 I only have exotica and one other smaller variety, my favorites are Jade and Moonlight. I’ll just have to wait I guess 🤷🏻♂️😝
Great tips! Exotica is my all time Favorite plant 😍
Same here!
Hi Harli! Do you have any maranta’s you could do a video on including water lighting and humidity?
Took a month to acclimate 😰, and I’m in love with her even though she is ridiculously dramatic. Lol
I think i will have to try and find one.
Interesting so the silver splash will revert to the exotica? I was always wondering why it was hard to tell them apart but now I see!
I have 2 varieties, an argyreus(sp?) and exotica! I love the exotica best, and she does seems to handle morning sunlight pretty good.
Very beautiful of indoor plants
Love skill share! I recently lost my Scindapsus sadly to root rot. But I am giving it a try with a new one I just picked up yesteryaaaay !
You can do it!
commenting for the algorithm :) and also because I love your videos!
Yay! I just got a huge exotica from Home Depot and a little argyreus from Lowe’s the other day
I did skillshare once for another youtuber. They really are helpful and are there for you on a daily basis....including weekends!
Edit...not a paid promotion. Lol
Thank you for this video scindapsus are my current favorite and I’m on the hunt for more varieties !!!! Side note - I kept
thinking my daughter woke up while watching this, and then I finally realized that it’s baby Kai Kai!
Love scindapsus plants😍 my exotica is my best grower out of all my plants!!
Gorgeous darlin 🤓😁🥰 thanks for that info! I just got my first scindapsus in cutting form. It's the silver splash variety. Also, my wishlist Just grew again 😉😂; by 5 plants! 😱🤣🥰 that's ok. I really don't mind that. I now have 50 plants in a 2 bedroom apartment 😂😍🥰😁🤓😁
Ahhh! I couldn’t tell if my silvery Anne was a silvery Anne or not, but this was helpful! It has been confirmed lol
HARLI!! You look so gorgeous! Love those earrings on you 😍
Hi Harli. Beautiful collection of Scindapsus. I have only been able to find one variety., the Argyraeus. I would love to find the Exotica!
That argyreus with the legs for days. Lol
HAHAHA
I love your Exotica!!!
That’s a beautiful scindapus.!!!
I only have north windows and supplement with grow lights. Scindapsus, hoya and african violets are what thrive best for me. All of my scindapsus do amazing in leca. I don't give them a water reservoir and just soak them for a couple hours and drain them every 2 weeks.
I finally found my exotica a few weeks ago after months of looking here in Los Angeles, weird! When I found it though, it was so worth the wait :)
That is awesome!
