Does blood alcohol level directly correlate to drunkness? Isn't how people handle alcohol different for everyone?
obviously alcohol level is how drunk u are, doesnt matter how u handle it, ur still the most drunk if you have the highest BAC
Theyâre ranking by BAC which is the concentration of alcohol in the blood. Some people, however, might be more tolerant than others and appear as less drunk.
Yeah the BAC level just shows how much alcohol is in the blood, but as far as how you handle it is completely different between individuals. Someone might have a really high BAC level and seem sober whereas another may have less BAC level and seem falling down drunk. Tolerance should always be taken into consideration.
You can be more tolerate and be able to handle it better than others but youâre still the same level of drunk based on BAC, which is the legal way of measuring how intoxicated someone is. Telling a cop âoh no, itâs okay Iâm very tolerantâ while having a BAC of .30 will still result in you being yanked out of the car and having cuffs slapped on your wrists.

This is not ranking how âdrunkâ they are, this is ranking their blood alcohol concentration, which does not always correlate. Someone can have the highest BAC there but if they regularly consume large quantities of alcohol their tolerance builds to a point where they can actually appear sober and have control over their inhibitions and thus appear less drunk. Still a very entertaining video though!

I think that's the whole point of the video. Appearance & actions aren't always an accurate indicator of intoxication. I have one friend who's pretty hyper, bubbly & loud sober but gets really quiet & sleepy after just 1-2 drinks. Another who acts/appears exactly the same sober, buzzed or heavily intoxicated. We always joke we've never really seen her "drunk" even tho we've consumed lots of alcohol together. Tolerance is fairly individualized & has many contributing factors. Important to know your self & limits so you don't end up in a bad situation or doing something you later regret, lol.
This! Iâd say my group of friends and I would need absolutely minimum 15 shots if not more to be seen as drunk but not even it showing weâre drunk? So I donât understand how any of them are this âdrunkâ after a single shot?
