Haha that’s funny. I actually learned guitar on a cheap one but my parents got me a nice one and I got so much better because I really wanted to make the nice one sing
If u have just gotten into art and don't go for copic just buy these or another cheaper alternative and upgrade to copic one at a time and overtime you'll end up having an entire set of copic markers without having to spend a fortune at once, that's how I did it
"It's not the marker it's the artist" Damnn tysm for the likes most iv ever had btw this isn't my fault I heard to read it somewhere I'd give credit but I can remember what it's from
I won't lie. I have those markers, got them when I was pretty young, and then got introduced to copics.. Dude, it was like a dream, copics blended much better, the color was so much better, yes, the markers I got are good beginner, but copics take the win. I will not lie
I like my Copics but will be buying the whole set of Ohuhu’s just for fun. 🎨👍🏻 My one pet peeve about alcohol markers is that they are not fadeproof, luckily I’ll only be using them for drawing in my sketchbook.
student grade materials get you along fine with learning, but professional grade stuff really is a whole different ballpark when it comes to pigment and quality
@@Chips0269 I’m sure you are, but I was more so referring to artists who are popular on media or rich, if you have the ability to use better art supplies you will almost always use better art supplies.
Always try cheap stuff first for any medium! You might spend a lot of money on a nice set of colored pencils or markers and then realize they aren't really your jam
I love how positive you are and omg your art is so cool (I like the one of Jake because my name is jack so it’s close enough and I love adventure time)👁👄👁

Im a beginner artist and Id say ive watched about.. too many of these type of videos but none really gave me a straight answer? After this I brought a cheap alternative to expensive copics or ohuhu markers, Im quite happy with the performance. I have had to get small sets for when they run out. But they only turned out to be around 5 pounds. I do recommnend cheap alcohol markers for when your just strating out! ❤
Phew! Yes start cheap and move up for sure. Sometimes when you get frustrated with your art, it might be the time to experiment with new / more expensive stuff.
I have these illy markers from walmart there so useful and good they bleed through a bit but after u put a random piece of paper or cardboard it doest bleed to the next page!
I got simular cheap markers and for me its not compareable because it bleeds alot more than my copics and also dont blend really together its a shame actually
I have the 80 set of cheap markers and they're great for what I need them for. I'm in college so I can't afford 80 copic markers 🤣 colors are vibrant, blending is nice. They get the job done.
What are these markers called I’m looking to get new ones that’s are good and affordable so these seem like the perfect fit I just need to know the name
Start with the cheaper options to see if alcohol markers are really for you. If, after some time you decide they are and you’ve gone through a couple bags of dried markers, upgrade to copics. It’s way cheaper in the long run if you plan on doing a lot of marker art
"Don't buy the expensive guitar until you can make the cheap one sing" old proverb I just wrote
but its just more fun with better equipment, especially with the guitar and electric guitars
Haha that’s funny. I actually learned guitar on a cheap one but my parents got me a nice one and I got so much better because I really wanted to make the nice one sing
Pearls of wisdom, you are a true wordsmith. 👍🏻☺️

Bruhhhhh i just got someeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Copics are not worth it. Don’t waste your money on markers than aren’t even lightfast and won’t look the same in even 10 years
I did it just the same as you did
That’s cool how you are starting art I am an artist as well, but not a good one lol
I use ohuhu markers
"It's not the marker it's the artist"

Markers are called markers because they make marks on marker parts that maraziki uses
Good quote
Well most markers unlike does shitty cheap kids marker that breaks your paper the moment you touch it with the marker
but when you have the skills you should definitely use copic markers. The results are days and nights.
Markers are good like ohuhu and copic and brands like them bcus they have different colour variants
The expensive markers are better but the drawling with cheap is better which shows how much you have improved
Fr
"It's the man that makes the sword" 🤙
Same with ohuhu. I started with ohuhu because of the videos I’ve seen of a full comparison using copic and ohuhu. Ohuhu is an extremely close second!
I like the cheap ones more tbh

Im bying a set of 80 of the cheap kind and im wondering if that'd be enough colors to create some cool stuff..
@@safanasan1696 It will be:) But it more depends on the type of paper you use then the markers. Invest in good paper rather then good makers
Yea! Good paper and patience is key with these things

Like I understand it’s primarily the artists skill but let’s be real here, we don’t see really good artists using cheap stuff 😭

I like your picture you made for 1980s gamer I’m subscribe to him and I think the PFP is really good on him
Another alternative is Ohuhu alcohol markers. Just got some and they're amazing to work with!
I love how positive you are and omg your art is so cool (I like the one of Jake because my name is jack so it’s close enough and I love adventure time)👁👄👁
I went to a craft store and they had a 50 box of colored pencils for $65
They both look good
I really dig my Ohuhu markers. I bought the grey set. They work awesome with prisma color pencils
I’m so happy we spent a lot of time on the pink drawing, and barely got to glance at the blue one
I also suggest arteza markers! They blend pretty good and have a decent set of colors.

Do these work on glass?
Both are basically the same bc its hard to mess up alchol markers just with different colors but the copic blended better due to the brush nib.

In my opinion it depends on how you use the markers and whether or not you’re experienced enough to use them. But that’s just my opinion. 😅
If youre just learning how to use a new medium always buy ghe cheapest ones
