    2017 was the greatest year for big bucks being shot. i shot my biggest buck in '17 150" 12pt 2nd week of the archery season.

  • @josephtreadlightly5686

    A great read is an article that Don wrote on the difference between the Illinois DNR or Fish & Game. The difference is between the mentors back in the 70's & the ones that replaced them around the 2010 era. It's a true eye opener.

      Do you have a link for this article? As a former IL resident who lives in Iowa now i have had a certain distain for the IL DNR w the pheasant decline and the difficulty it is to apply and access public land. Thank ya !

    Kinda hard to stay out a hunting area when you refresh mineral and check cams and do food plots and supplement feed

      @V1KTOR33 Před 2 lety +1

      I find that putting them at head height facing a little down gives me a better trigger range. What does the cam say for range? I use cheaper cams and get good range but I’m in Maine and it’s hard to even see more than 50-60 feet in the woods and I put them on trails more than space. Hope this helps.

    I talked to Don several years ago on the phone when I was testing food plot seeds and he just really seemed just like in the video calm, cool, and willing to help best he could. I would say a genuinely good guy.

    This would be easy to do, if you have your own farm, that no one else is jacking around on, or hunting the edges of.

  • @josephtreadlightly5686

    Ha haha 😄, u need to get a Honda Civic with a bike rack over the trunk to seal the deal on that Public land buck. Hiding in plain sight is the key. Hopefully u won't run into the Covid Crashers that I put up with during the 2020 season.

    Higgins was great but someone needs to tell the hosts to speak up, has to keep adjusting my volume cause I'ld turn it up when the host talks and then have to turn it down when Higgins talks or my neighbors would hear it haha.
