I think the biggest difference and what made king lose is that all of his ambition was towards kaido, and zoro while the priority being luffy, still had room for his own ambition, and that gave him the edge
And being hide behind his mask..

@@kaden1221and some of us ain’t even that invested in the writing 😂 Luffy and Kaido pretty much run the show and then Zoro vs King was definitely the most entertaining fight ever I wish Sanji had a better opponent that’s all because Queen was kind of likeable but King was like 2 levels above Queen in ability

The impact frames in episode 1062 were insane. Seeing a brief image of Ashura during Zoro's charge-up of Ultra Tiger Hunt, the quick flash of King's child, teen, adult, and Zoan forms, and the dragon-head/claw splitting into the magma dragons... Damn, dude. This is a rare instance where pausing during the animation is nearly as enjoyable as seeing it in motion.
And seeing Zoro's name being spelled out by the red lightning after he beat King.
"no devil fruit, no modifications, just a regular dude" had to subscribe after that! most people dont realize how hard zoro worked to compete with these literal monsters as a normal human

Sanji got a nice heartwarming "and the winner is.." title card with him asleep and smiling meanwhile zoro gets an entire Mortal Kombat victory animation.

King is one of my favourite characters, I just instantly liked him when he was introduced. Seeing how much depth they gave him in just ONE episode, making people instantly sympathize with him despite him belonging to the "villains", is so incredibly rewarding to see!

Sanji's Blue Hellfire with his Ifrit Jambi hitting Queen over and over was so badass and Zoro with the green with purple to go along with King's volcanic fire slashing back and forth both eps movie quality easily love what Toei is doing

Just for you people who maybe think Zoro was talking about Luffy with the comment "Best friend" no he was not talking about Luffy he was talking about Kuina.
Sanji didn't even show his experience in Kenpo of Ivankow (he learn in his island + the cooking) so he can glow up again.
Zoro being "The King of Hell". I find it interesting that the Aura around his swords is Green, the same colour as Brook's 'Soul' when moving around outside of his body. Also can't wait for the moment 'Brook' shows up in front of the Zoro after this fight. Wonder if they'll expand on it since we still don't know what was up with that ordeal.

In addition, those nicknames that most of the animal kingdom pirates had like: Doflamingo (Joker), King (Alber), Queen, Jack, and 'numbers' too; and even Doflamingo's family top executives (Pica 'Club', Trebol 'Clover' and Diamante 'Diamond') Oda made all those names and symbols based on the poker card game we all know. They said that Kaido is the 'Player' of this playing card game :)

The key animator for 1062 is Vincent Chansard. He drew some very cool details you can't even see if you don't check it frame by frame. (He put King's child appearance which Oda only showed in SBS at 30:35 . you can see it if you watch it with 0.25 speed ) He put the whole life appearance of King in 1s . That's much more than impressive.

There's a rumor about Gear 5 Luffy episode that has been in production for 7 months. And also, Toei hired one people from Warner Bros to animate some Luffy G5 attacks, maybe. But yeah, i can't wait to see what Toei cooking with the Gear 5 episodes

How I see it is that Kaido is Kings Luffy, and what makes me sad thinking about it is that King failed his Luffy, like imagine if we saw Zoro not able to keep his promise
One king is a title and the other is a name. King (Kingu) and King (ōh)

We love both pirate king wing's, they are the stars of the day meaning the stars that will shine beside the sun aka Monkey D luffy, but we all know animatores have a favourite, and we can't blame them because we all do... love both wings 🔥🔥

Other episodes i would recommend are: EP 1051 (Sky Split) and EP 1054 (Killer vs Hawkins). The other great episodes are mostly the buildup episodes to these ones (1061 & 1062) so i'm a little sad you guys skipped them but i get it(1045 Sanji vs Queen & King - 1046 Stars Enter the Stage - 1057 Sanji crushes germa can - 1060 - Zoro's Conquerors Haki ) . There are two episodes about Yamato fighting Kaido and Luffy riding Momo to the roof that are also good (1048 & 1049)
G5 gonna go so hard. Idk how they can top Sanji vs Queen, one week later Zoro vs King topped it and it gets better everytime. But before then Law gonna beat a yonko

1063 is pure cinema. I'm hoping there will be some kind of theater event for the gear 5 episodes, shit I'd go to a theater to watch all the fight episodes of Wano shown back to back to back. That would be so hype.
Sanjis ep was better than zoro's tho I aint gonna lie... especially in terms of writing, more emotional, choreography, etc.

@THOR and Sanji's was the culmination of everything in his life and he learned to accept who he but not lose his moral compass nor forget who his friends are.
Only thing I care about is the fight itself I don’t care about emotional- maybe a little, but I still like the actions more. Would you rather a whole ep of them talking (not comedy) or a whole fight scene? I definitely like fight more. Why I like zoros ep more-

I think it can be seen either way. It being Luffy then Kuina or it was just Luffy. Also gotta think, leaving out the 2 year timeskip, Zoro likely hasn't even know Luffy for a full year yet story wise

Right there at the end when discussing how other crews have their "luffy" or captain and josh said all Luffy has done is love and care hes 99% right but lets not forget luffy freed hundreds or maybe thousands of thieves, thugs, and murderers from impel selfishly trying to save his brother while not considering the implications of his actions.
Hyannibal even confronts him about this fact and i think it makes luffy even more interesting because nothing is more dull or bland than a goody two shoes protagonist down to their core with no other interesting traits, luffy is for the most part a good guy, better than most, but he is human at the end of the day and is susceptible to human faults, although im also sure he's not going to stop surprising us anytime soon.
Luffy even says in Fishman Island that while he respects heroes, he himself does not want to be one.
