- For a different project I bought a assortment of tact switches.
I discovered little rectangular SMD ones with two contacts.
So in this video I get rid of the of the crappy dome contacts and install the little clicky tact switches instead.

When i was a kid i remember playing popeye with this joystick and it didnt have those orange side buttons, i was trying to press at the metals in it with my finger. I wish my dad had some enthusiasm to fix it.

This video is a lifesaver! I'm trying to refurbish one of these myself and had NO clue how to get the joystick out at first (and then it still took a fair amount of effort since the thing was rusted.
Speaking of, may I have a link to the switches please? I'm worried I'll buy ones that don't fit.
I'm glad my video was helpful. I just bought a set of different tact switches from Amazon and those were included.
