Having a Pinterest strategy for your business (creative business or otherwise) can get you in front of SO MANY intentional pinners. Yes, it's still worth leveraging in 2024, and I'm sure it'll still be worth it long after.

I don't know what pinterest shows you but it definitely has a very dark side to it. For some reason creepy stuff was shown by pinterest to me, when i only was looking for dresses.

Great video! I love using Pinterest as well, and I never actually consciously realized the "no hate" part. The only way I find it deceptive, it's when people use it to redirect to spam websites. Thank you for sharing, your voice is soothing, and it's a pleasure to listen.

Thank you for this. I got massive amounts of views and interactions, and tried to funnel it to CZcams because I use yt more, but Pinterest is valuable in its own right!

This is my first video of yours that I’ve ever seen and now I’m a fan! 💕 Thanks for reminding me about Pinterest and I’m so excited to start my content creation journey! And wow, that’s an interesting discovery you stated where when people want to go on a social media detox, they don’t include Pinterest. That’s funny because I’m ready to go on a detox (as a consumer) before I start my journey as a creator, and I never even considered Pinterest. Maybe because I don’t use it much, but even if I did, I wouldn’t think about removing it. I don’t even know if my mind places Pinterest as a form of social media. It just has its own special place in my heart. I’m also delighted to hear about the pledge each creator signs and how the platform focuses attention on creating a positive space. I’d love to find success on there as my main platform, while just using Instagram as extra backup.

Ah I hear the frustration!! Instagram is still the biggest driver for my income and brand deals, but Pinterest really is the powerhouse behind the scenes building my overall brand presence-excited for you to start creating more on it!

This is a great video. I always used Pinterest for my personal side but not for business. Its my go to platform for inspiration I love the concept of evergreen content which is one of the reason I use YT as my main platform. Thank you for this video it gave me a new perspective. 2024 I think Pinterest will be my next platform 😊

I Agree, Yesss So True....because it's NOT toxic @ All! You absolutely can! Those are actually all very strong categories to post on Pinterest!! I actually post some fashion and lifestyle stuff to with good reach!
Seems like it's better to just focus on maybe 2 platforms at a time. It seems like a lot to post on 4 or 5 platforms, but need to change the content to fit each one.....vs just uploading a video to each platform the way its already formatted.
haha I hear you--it really is about what you can take on. I've always tried to maintain a presence everywhere, but it's definitely not super sustainable. It's better to try to excel on a couple versus treading water everywhere.

Great video! Question- when you create your pins, do you repin your same pin to multiple boards? Or do you only post your pins once (let’s say for one blog post) and then move on to fresh pins. Thanks!

Just dont forget to water mark your images. The place is a go-to for people who want to steal images without giving credit.

I’ve found bloggers who have specific topics do well. I’m a painter and pin my paintings, but they don’t really do well compared to people like you who have specific topics/tips. I want to attract buyers, not other artists, so it’s tricky.
Yess I do hear you on that! I do think it's tricky for artists, because you can also run into people stealing your art. Do you create any content adjacent to your paintings? behind the scenes, how to's etc? those would be great to build your general brand awareness--but definitely understand if that's not the direction you're wanting to take.

Every time I try Pinterest I find it difficult to use on the creator side, it just doesn’t feel as intuitive as other platforms so I never put much into it. Maybe I’ll try it again.

I like Pinterest but there are too many ads. So many that its hard to read the articles or scroll through the images.
This is what I have been saying for years!!! I have been reaching out to brands for years to market their company’s with my 2.2 million views monthly. They aren’t interested. It’s so sad.

Thank you for your video :) I have a question, about "TAGGED TOPICS" on Pintereste: When I use the Pinterest Pin Button extension (Google Chrome), to pin my one of my Esty listings, does it add my Etsy keywords to my Pinterest pin "tagged keywords"? or is it better to go directly to Pinterest and pin from there (filling out the keywords and link and title and description)? Or should I just not worry about those "tagged topics" on Pinterest? (also, why doesn't it let me edit my tagged topics even on my created pins?) I'm new to Pinterest. Thank you in advance!!

All the trolls and hate lives on instagram (CZcams too) I have always loved Pinterest
haha throw tiktok in there too! I've had some of the meanest comments over there 😂 So far CZcams has been nice to me, but I know that's not normal.
Theres some type of update that requires us to enter Tags for eery post now, that pretty much killed my traffic and it takes forever to enter those tags because it lags. Even the update, i wasn't getting much traffic at all from Pinterest. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Do you mean with Idea Pins? That's the only place I've been asked to put tags, but I don't do a lot of manual pinning other than Idea Pins. I use Tailwind primarily to schedule my pins. That being said when I make my Idea pins, I see the tags as supplemental, and focus on placing keywords in the pin itself, the title, and the description/instructions section. I do have a video coming out more tomorrow on strategy that hopefully helps!

I use to really like pinterest, but every update keeps making it worse and right now their interface seems to have taken a step backwards.
Ah I'm sorry to hear that! I just tried to create one manually, and I did see the tag options. I'll experiment a bit and report back if I notice something one way or the other.
IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII II...I= SO you said Pinterest 32 time plus at the end when you told us to comment how many times you said Pinterest if you include that that's 33......my issue with these platforms it just feels like there's always something as a creator you need to subscribe to go get your name out there especially as a small creator trying to get my name out there (and be consistent with my posting 😅😅) it can feel overwhelming

I definitely hear you on the overwhelm--for those looking to start creating on Pinterest I definitely recommend using a tool like Tailwind if you have it in your budget ( tailwind.sjv.io/vn1aQv ) . It allows you to batch create a bunch of pins and just schedule them way into the week, month, or year even. And really just focus on repurposing instead of reinventing the wheel for everything.

I would definitely link it back to your website, but the media you upload depends on your goals. Do you want people to buy things? Pay for your services? You will have to maybe make some pins with text on them that communicate what you are offering vs just uploading the illustrations on their own. I’ll touch on this too in my next video 🙏🏽

Yess I recommend starting!! I have some more videos with tips on the channel! I prefer to link back to my blog but I have had a lot of success linking directly to CZcams videos too!
I have tried many times over the years never seemed to do much as a photographer....
What you likely need to do is figure out the “purpose” behind putting your content on Pinterest, and the search intent behind the users who might come across your images. Are they to save and recreate themselves? Is it to help teach them about photography? Just to have visuals saved that they like to look at? If you do landscape, do you want to inspire them to go to the destination? Pinterest needs a bit more strategy than nice pictures.
