Why do we celebrate
Baisakhi and should all of us celebrate it?

Baisakhi is celebrated as the month of Baisakha sets on and it is during this month that Rabi crop is harvested (especially in North India).
Signifying growth and prosperity as the meaning of
Baishakha is 'the spread of branches'.
On Baisakhi, sweet porridge (daliya) is made and shared.as sweet porridge is the symbol of Surya (Sun).
It is eaten by adding sugar, ghee to cooked coarse wheat.
When you eat and share sweet porridge, It strengthens your Surya that further strengths your holistic being.
Fame, power, prosperity, growth, reputation...all these encompass strength. Owing to common brotherhood and a feeling of sharing, it is celebrated it together, across the country, by different names.
A beautiful celebration of new beginning, new season...of sharing and celebrating life.
