Building a Democratic Economy: From Cleveland to Preston

  • (Recorded before Covid-19). How does an economy emerge from a recession? Historically, cities hard hit by deindustrialization have strived to attract big employers from elsewhere by offering incentives and tax breaks. But outside employers rarely invest in a place long term, and all too often skip town when the incentives run out. In some places, local governments have been experimenting with other strategies. In Preston, England, they’re experimenting with investing public money in locally-owned businesses and cooperatives, and encouraging local “anchor” institutions to buy from, or train, local vendors. They’re calling it the Preston model of community wealth building, and it’s inspired by a model in another formerly industrialized city: Cleveland, Ohio, home of the Evergreen Cooperatives.

Love coops.. Communitarianism is a philosophy that emphasizes the connection between the individual and the community. Its overriding philosophy is based upon the belief that a person's social identity and personality are largely molded by family and community relationships, with a smaller degree of development being placed on individualism and the larger emphasis placed on the wellbeing of communities and our nation as a whole.
The start October 25 2020 of the Independent HQ USA informative mass participation political movement is a labor of love for me and i don't expect any financial rewards. The mere definition of Independent means free from outside control; not depending on another's authority. No arduous rules and no party political platform ever. AMERICANA is in my soul "we the people out of many one". can no longer sit idly by and watch the inhuman brutality inflicted upon our brothers and sisters at home and world wide. So now we all stand in the Valley of decision, collectively on the precipice of historical greatness which path shall we pursue? Rise up with wings of eagles my friends. United we all can soar to unimaginable heights and together we all shall overcome with new beginnings that promote opportunities offering precise detailed plans that are inclusive for all. My best wishes forever, Farleyel.. now Go Fly czcams.com/video/LlWNoI166eI/video.html
