Thank you for your encouraging words, as my husband and I have aged, we have both developed health issues. It is difficult to not be frustrated and grumpy when you are in pain. Difficult, yes, but not impossible. With my new limitations there are many things I cannot control but I can still control my attitude. Years ago as my health changed, I told myself, I love my husband, he is a dear man that I respect and admire. I don’t want him to have to live with a bitter and angry woman. I want better than that for him. And of course I want better than that for myself. Thank you for your ministry of encouragement.

Many years ago, we read an article that listed keys to a Christian home. Many of your suggestions were in it. We put this article on our fridge and prayed that we could follow the suggestions. In addition, we didn't want raised voices, instead we would sit down and talk about our conflict in a loving way (this included our children.) Next was to have a home where mistakes could be made. Breaking a glass, spilling something etc. No one is perfect, and accidents happen. Our focus was to love each other unconditionally, and my husband and I modeled this. We also loved to have a house full of the kids' friends. Because I kept our home tidy, we were always open to having guests. Were we perfect? Far from it!! But the structure was there to have a loving home life!! (I also was determined to have a hot meal on the table for dinner every night. I worked in the afternoons, so I would make dinner before I left so we could sit down and break bread together every evening!)

I agree 100% - I have 3 grandchildren visiting this week, 13, 12 & 10... order can turn into chaos very quickly 😂 But, making a place for extra shoes and phones and "stuff" keeps them organized and Nana on an even keel. I also make sure to smile bright every morning and say "good morning" and give a hug and kiss. I do the same for my husband. Those little actions show him how important he is to me and how happy I am to have another day together. I make sure the dishes are washed and the house is today because a clean space makes for a happy space. I also have a lot of little battery operated candles and lights around my house. In the evening, they provide such a relaxing glow and an inviting atmosphere. Thanks again for another beautiful video Lisa. Have a blessed Easter ❤

My kids won a giant activity basket at a school carnival last week and I nearly cried because I just saw more stuff! I found a spot for it and over time we will gift items to some family and friend kids. 😅
One of my favorite scent combos is lemon and lavender. It makes me think of what a lovely home in the Spring and Summer in a country Victorian home would have smelled like. Usually, my daily go to is cinnamon in my wax warmer. But I also love orange, and Patchouli . This reminds me of a book I read and an article I read, combined. With how crazy our world it its so important to create a safe and nurturing place to escape to and feel cozy and safe.

I chooose to live a lovely home. It is a decision. We have to be mindful of what is beautiful and lovely. I do like the idea of a low bowl and have rocks water and blooms…. Yes Pray for your self, family, and home. And all who inter in. I use defuser for essential oils it is so vital and encouraging to our home.. I have heard a lot about open windows and doors for a few moments for fresh air.. that is something I ought to do. Thank you for your kind and lovely wisdom.

Thank you Lisa, this video was very thoughtful. It is important to pay attention to the things we do or say so we can make positive changes. I’ve been working hard at doing this the last few years. I finally have days now that I can open the window it makes everything smell so fresh. I enjoyed my time spent with you, it was uplifting and it’s nice to know we all have bad days, because we sometimes see people as being perfect or never having difficulties, but it’s not reality. Beautiful lady, your videos inspire me! I've been a full-time homemaker since the children were born, and wouldn't trade the benefits for all the money or fame in the world. I'm a grandmother now, but still homemaking with great joy and thankfulness to be able to do it. I am wondering if it is getting hard for Christians in Canada. I had assumed (from the news) that Canadians were very oppressed by the current government, but your joy shines brighter than ever.

I reluctantly tuned in, expecting your ideas to be unrealistic...I had the care of an older sibling forced on me. He returned from the military refusing to function on his own. The bad manners, bad attitude and bad hygiene are too much for me. He has been homeless but returned worse.

Regarding confidence and contentment; How do you persevere in intentional homemaking through hard times such as sickness, grief, busyness? What inspires you to stay motivated?
As for personal and at home style. Do you or have you ever gone with capsule wardrobes? Do you think less is more or do you like some options? Do you think vintage, colourful style can be simple/ minimal?

My husband uses the bathroom in our master bedroom, he dose not flash the toilet very often. He says that if we flash to often in will break the toilet.
I clean the toilet everyday. He also dose not want me to clean it every day. I am not sure what to do.
He also not let me open windows ,but sometimes he dose.
He dose not have sense of small much but I do. Please help 😢

I'm sorry about this situation, Dalia...do have more than one bathroom in your place? If so, given that your sense of smell is more sensitive perhaps you could use one of the bathrooms exclusively and he could use the other...then you can clean it as often as you like and your husband can look after the bathroom he uses as he likes...as far as breaking the toilet with flushing, which part is the concern for being broken?

He uses the bathroom in the master bedroom that we both sleep.
I think he is concerned that inside of the toilet swill break.
I am so helpless about it.
