It is turn by turn. Ibadan does not have ruling house. Every Ibadan indigene can become an Olubadan if he so wishes. However, there are two queues that lead to the throne of Olubadan. He must join one based on some historical background of his family that selected him as Mogaji. Mogaji is the entry point to the queues of Olubadan kingship..The possible next Olubadan already knows himself. If the present one dies before him then he automatically become the Olubadan. No oracle consult or argument. That is why we say it is God Almighty that enthrones an Olubadan since life of everyone is in God's hands.
