I think (not sure if right) but his name is something else, but if you direct translate it, it still amounts to perv asshat. It is probably the same with cid's alias, it sounds fine in Japanese, but translated to English it sounds really obvious.

I think he hit him with a sword to the face, why i think so?
1. To move the sword to the head high when he sneezes whould be pretty meaningles, if he not use this sword to hit him in the moment.
2. And when this golden dud was flying away he hade a bleeding nose, mean he most got some hits there. And for just hiting with the fist cid shouldn't need to raise his sword.
3. And the fact that cid does nothing meaningles, makes him in some "way predicted to others".

Maybe Cid is so fast that he beat the guy first and then he relocate his neck while he did that she couldn't see that he already beat the guy and she just saw him relocating his neck. Basically Cid is so fast that nobody is able to see him fighting his moves. This statement becomes valid when u see Cid instant movement his just so quick that u only see him disappeared from one point and reach next location.
This anime has definitely improved itself since the first 3 episodes. Going into this blind, that first episode pissed me off like it was a waste of my time, but apparently that wasn't anime-original content, but taken from later in the story, so I feel better about it.

based on translation notes from manga: Doem sounds like "Huge M" (basically M for masochist), katsu sounds like ketsu (or ass), so basically a pun meaning "huge masochistic asshat", hence pervy asshat. translation basically took the punchline instead of the name of the pun.
