Today I’m presenting part two of my mid-January tour of the 25,000-square-foot manufacturing facility of Audio Group Denmark, in Aalborg, Denmark. Today’s focus will be primarily on loudspeakers and their motors, as we continue the full facility walk-through with our guide, AGD Founder and CEO, Lars Kristensen.

What an eye opening and fascinating tour Greg. Who knew. This certainly gives us all greater insight and understanding as to why their speaker-line fetch what they do. But beyond that, I have a much greater appreciation of their dedication to excellence and perfection for sure.

Amazing tour. The materials thought out, tested and chosen are beyond imagination. I’ve been an admirer of the Borresen line of loudspeakers for some time (big natural sound reproduction in a relatively small pkg) but new to the electronics they build and look forward to your critique of system synergy. Skol Brother!

Very informative Greg, so many parts to build a great loudspeaker!

Astonishing levels of minute detail and very expensive, time consuming procedures using expensive raw materials.
Such precise components go a fair way to justifying high end pricing here.... Fantastically intriguing walk and talk Greg. 👍🏻

Hi Greg I enjoyed the factory tour. How do the speakers sound compared to Magico, YG, Wilson?

Good information! I didn't know there was anybody priced more crazy than Magico.

I would love to see a tour of YG Acoustic factory, I own a pair of Hailey 2.2, we always see and hear about Magico but I feel YG are just as good, some may say better sounding

Really good Greg or space technology, everything is relative, also the weight of the diaphragm is important and it is not always that the lightest is the best depending on where the freq cut is... But I wonder if some novelties really greatly improve the sound or they just give it a different color, it's like with many items or with old wine where these winemakers besides always sell stories and increase the price.

I like Borresen speakers but their explanation of why unbalanced cables are superior and the Sortz for $1600 per input is total rubbish. You could just lift the grounds and decouple unselected inputs. Their gear seem to have problems built in that don't need to exist. I prefer a fully balanced zero feedback front end like Ayre Acoustics. Borresen speakers seem cutting edge. I'd like to hear a Borresen/Ayre combo. Zero feedback seems to pair well with low mass woofers. Cheers!
