Thank you, great tutorial as always and I found it (as I am already subscribed)right when I need it, going to try and wire up an EP 2 this weekend!, just been learning soldering on a practice board and making the big leap to building my own from scratch 😃🙂 thanks for the tips and being an inspiration 🏆🥂🍾😋
Thanks so much for making this in response to my question Darren! What a great video, gives me confidence to solder my receiver up now.
Glad it helps and that’s kind of the idea I am going for with QOD - Question of the Day!
actual installation demo. Thanks
Great content, great edition, success
GREAT video dude!!!!
thank you have learnt something new! good video
so clean how you solder all the wire i give you score a perfect 10"
Awesome video Darren!!!!!
thank you, man 👍👍🤩❤️🔥🥂🙏
Tidy! Thanks.
Thank you
nice tutorial
Super video nice to follow. I ordered foxwoop 25 vista with no receiver was going to go all digital but getting TX12 controlled can u suggest a receiver to buy so I can follow your video Thanks.
thanks 👍🏼
The FC on my Reptile Cloud cinewhoop has the T2 pad on different side of other 3 pads (gnd,5,R2), is that normal? I haven’t flown the whoop yet, but I think it might be an important question lol
dude when i finished soldering it all up when i put power to it with my battery it doesn’t send power to my flight controller idk what to do
He guys get good solder with Flux in it. Makes it a lot easier. Quality soldering iron is crucial, also no one ever mention temp 300 to 350 degrees
Celsius ?
@@greyarea7689 Fahrenheit
@@greyarea7689yes, Celsius. Bardwell does talk about temperature as do several other tutorials. Personally I solder quite a bit hotter, 375 c minimum usually, often 385 up to 400 or even 425 for really big stuff, but timing gets very important. The three variables are time, temperature, and the transfer medium (tip size and shape on the iron), along with type of solder used and the flux.
GOD BLESS YOU
Help me solder a PWM adapter to an expresslrs BR3 915hgz receiver, please! 😢 I can't find anyone doing this anywhere...
Great little vid, only thing you didn't note was how hot you run the iron. Might help the beginners (like me 😉)
Yes fair point. I had that in when filming. Must have cut it. I use 400 degrees Celsius
Hello, I think your video is super good. I have a HappyModel EP1 ExpressLRS 2.4GHz receiver and would like to set the VTX table in Bethaflight, but it cannot find it. what should I do?
What do you mean?
Are you using the BF Lua Script on your radio to set VTX?
The VTX and VTX table are completely seperate to the receiver.
Super helpful video! take my sub
Thank you
Ive got diatone Roma L5 and happy model EP2 help me harnse got 5 wire wot i use
Head to EverythingMicroFPV.com/pages/helpme and book the free 15 minute session and we will sort it out even if we take longer than 15mins.
Good video. Which is the AWG of the wire you are using? 30 AWG is good enough for this kind of job?
30 is fine. I use 26
What is the size of the wire, is it 16 awg or 22….. also what size heatshrink do you use to protect the receiver?
26awg
Can mix match beta fpv 2.4 GHz module with happy model reaciever cheers
Absolutely, as long as they are both 2.4 GHz.
so expresslrs can't be used with a dji naza m v2? S + & - connections only???
DJI is a video link
ELRS is a radio link.
They are separate
THANKS!! for the wires, do you use multi-strand, or single core? thanks again!
Multi strand. Silicone covered
@@DarrenAllatt thanks
Is the only way to set up the receiver through the flight controller? I mean, I want to test my receiver without doing any soldering, first.
How are you going to test it?
It needs to be powered, so you will have to solder the 5v and GND pad somewhere
Then how will you update it to ensure it works.
Dear Sir
Is ExpressLRS RX24T 2.4G Receiver compatible with Flysky Fsi4 transmitter
No
I cannot update my Matek R24D firmware in ExpressLRS configurator
"FC Found in COM 6
Connecting......"
Then build error
I also tried using expresslrs webflasher
Cannot detect RX Target, blindly flashing
I kept trying using Speedybee App
Compilation failed
Do you have any sugesstion?
I really need your help
Thanks
Flash via wifi
@@DarrenAllatt hi
Finally it works!
Thank you so much
Hi, I gat a FC that has a limited pad, can I use 3.5V for the elrs rx? Thanks.
yes
@@DarrenAllatt Thank you.
How do you change from xm+ to elrs, my xm+ only has 3 wires elrs uses 4 ?
You wire it to a Uart and not to a SBUS pad, although you can use espressLRS with 3 wires
@@DarrenAllatt how do you use 3 wires ?
Flash it for sbus
Can you still is ELRS without crossfire?
What do you mean?
Hay Darren I got the lite radio 3 Elrs version and I got the new Elrs receiver with the red box on it do I have to flash the receiver and if so do I do it with beta configurator or Elrs configrator and do I switch rx and tx like crossfire
Receiver is always flashed through ExpressLRS Configurator.
Yes RX to TX and TX to RX
Which lite radio 3, the black one or the white one?
@@DarrenAllatt the white one is the one I have .
@@sammarple9443 white one is configured through the BetaFPV Configurator- this video Budget Crossfire radio? // BetaFPV Lite Radio 3 ExpressLRS
