You can but it requires a life change and creating a passion for it above all in life. If you didn't start young it's even harder to do it as an adult because we are all set in our ways and makes it even harder to rearrange your life to make time for it. I played 5 instruments as a child into my teens but never really good at any of them. Just average. It never became a passion for me. Hiking and photography became my passion so I sold all my instruments for hiking and photo gear and have loved the passion I have now.

I think as you are talking to them you need to talk about how you learned from watching CZcams. 😆 Also when it's a pretty girl explain that you want to learn so that pretty girls like them will want to go out with you. You ask them, "if I learn how to play very good maybe you would be my girlfriend online". Lolol of course they are gonna tell you that you're to young, but after they hear you play it will definitely get them thinking.
