The godfather would not be a theme I’d be interested in but my god that CE looks stunning 🤩 what a beautiful pinball machine!
If Stern sold that topper it would cost 10 000 $
For me this godfather looks way more interesting then foo fighters.
Regarding the JJP playfield problems you mentioned...I think overall JJp's playfields are of a much higher quality than Sterns.
I have a Stern Godzilla Premium and a JJP Willy Wonka LE and the JJP has a beautiful deep glossy finish to the playfield which looks amazing compared to the rather thin stencilled, orange peel finish of my Godzilla Premium. I even have a section on my Godzilla (right in the middle of Godzilla's belly) where someone in the factory looks to have taken steel wool to the playfield and dulled a section of the artwork...Sterns response was to send me a tube of Novus 2 as they reckon it'll 'buff right out'!
We had Toy Story here and the playfield was great.
I'm also very aware that Stern have their own manufacturing issues . . . . they're far from perfect.
If it had a horses' head feature then GAME ON!
Random Japanese trivia Gonzo - in the Japanese version of Toy Story, instead of saying "The Clawwwwwwwww", the aliens say "Kami samaaaaaaaa" which translates to "Goooooodddddddddd".
Really enjoyed that Kris mate! I agree with pretty much all you said and I was also pleasantly surprised how good it looked. I had a Hobbit, so I know that JJP play different, but this one looks great.
Cheers John. I'm hopefully going to play a Hobbit and Pirates soon and I'll do a video 👍
Just tried playing today! It really deserves a quiet room (I didn't get what was going on when there was noise from other machines nearby). Some very looong shots were surprisingly easy to make but other important shots perhaps a bit too hard. Felt a bit strange like that, but could be the "newness". So far, I would definitely rank both Godzilla and James Bond above it among newer machines, but maybe it will grow on me. It's definitely a bit slower than those two, but that's not always a bad thing.
Thanks so much for the review. You're the first person who's played one on here.
@@GonzosPinballFlipperama I was one of the first in this arcade as well. I really sucked at it, but the machine took a photo of me and put me up as number 2 or 3 in the high scores. :D One unexpected thing is that there is a very short ramp (or a sort of orbit?) that is VERY likely to drain straight down the middle unless you use the third flipper. It was frustrating at first, but then a bit cool :)
Underneath the Weapons there reads "Prees Action Button to Activate" so I don't think it's Bonus, also telling by the 1,5x & 2,5x. I think it's rather a timed playfield multiplier you can build up & activate strategically
Appreciate your balanced candor re: the JJP and Stern haters and fanbois. I have 3 of each. I'm going to subscribe because a lot of US reviewers are too afraid to speak honestly about these issues and rick any boats. I imagine heaven having Keith Elwin designing pins for JJP.... Cheers!
I appreciate the comments and positive feedback . . . . thank you.
If I were JJP I'd offer to double Keith Elwins salary.
The CE looks great but it follows the new JJP philosophy started by TS4, stripped playfield, no mechs and high prices…glad if ppl can afford 19k for it but unfortunately not me.
Way too much bling on the CE (Posh one) for my liking. If I was going to get one it would be the LE.
Will be interesting to see the gameplay and get a real perspective on music, callouts etc.
I really don't understand why you would only make 1000 if it gets sold out at launch. I'm sure most people would still pay the same price even if 5000 were made. That has to be the most blinged up Pinball ever made!
Belongs in Buckingham Palace? It's gaudy... I'd say it belongs next to Trump's golden toilet or Liberace's house.
Looks so gaudy. Another light show from Eric. He’s terrible and screw JJP prices. Will stick with my Scooby. That’s a beautiful pin and nails the theme!!
This game looks very good. Shots to art to sound it all looks good.
