Wayne's World is a 1992 American comedy film directed by Penelope Spheeris. It was produced by Lorne Michaels and written by Mike Myers and Bonnie and Terry Turner. Based on the Saturday Night Live sketch Wayne's World, it stars Myers in his feature film debut as Wayne Campbell and Dana Carvey as Garth Algar, a pair of rock music fans who broadcast a public-access television show. It also features Tia Carrere, Rob Lowe, Lara Flynn Boyle, Brian Doyle-Murray, Chris Farley, Ed O'Neill, Ione Skye, Meat Loaf and Alice Cooper in supporting roles.
Wayne's World was released in the United States on February 14, 1992 by Paramount Pictures. A critical and commercial success, it was the tenth-highest-grossing film of 1992 and remains the highest-grossing film based on a Saturday Night Live sketch. Wayne's World 2 was released the following year.
Famously set in ‘Aurora, Illinois’, but originally written as ‘Scarborough, Ontario’ (Mike Myers’ hometown), most of the movie was filmed around Los Angeles.
Even so, the locations are scattered far and wide, so if you want to plan a Wayne’s World location tour, don’t expect to cover everything in an afternoon.
Illinois is seen only in a few establishing shots, captured by a Second Unit.
The neighbourhood of Wayne and Garth (Mike Myers and Dana Carvey) is Van Nuys, in the heart the San Fernando Valley more usually associated with Paul T Anderson. - Zábava
I remember going to the theater, with my friends, 4 times to see Waynes World! We knew all of the lines by heart, and Dana Carvey is still one of my top 3 comedians! Party On!🤟💯🤣

Fun Fact when I was growing up and the Wayne's World movie came out i was in love so much with Wayne's World Cassandra. That my mom let me name my cat Cassandra from the Wayne's World movie. I loved the woman who played Cassandra in the Wayne's World that much. True story to.

Dope video Scott as always. I live walking distance to the music store for almost 25 years. Wasn’t until a few years ago that I realized it was that spot. The owner is very cool and has I believe the original case that is the guitar is in, in the movie. Such a classic film can’t believe it’s been close to 30 years

Great on Scott, so many cool people were in this movie. Must have been a blast making it.
My Dad lives on Shoshone ave on the other side of the block from Wayne's house . Thats where I grew up during my high school yrs. . love that movie ! Party on!!🤘I remember , I was stationed in Sasebo , Japan when I saw the movie . I was like wow that looks a lot like my neighborhood back home and then when I got home found out and also I the auto shop was on the corner of White Oak and Sherman way walking distance from Wayne's house location , I have had my car fixed there b4. THx man that was cool , I live in San Diego now, so cool to see the old neighborhood. Yeah the street light was a prop it was never there .
I’m from Aurora Illinois and none of the scenes Were shot in Aurora but I know some were Shot in Berwyn Illinois North riverside Illinois and a lot of that stuff they shot as a secondary shoot are not there anymore, a lot of the art that they showed in a plaza parking lot and some other buildings no longer exist sadly . The movie is awesome it’s one of my Favorite Saturday Night Live movies but it’s a shame that Paramont didn’t send out a crew to scout locations here I live in Aurora to actually see what it looks like because not even close to what it looks like. But great video Man really enjoyed it.

I grew up in Covina not from Downtown Covina. Use to go the movies there as a kid. Sadly though my family split up and I ended up in Upstate NY when this was filmed. But I did however see some filming scenes from a little time travel movie called Back To The Future in the very near by town of La Punete at the mall there. Great video as always Scott.

I never noticed that they lived across the street from each other. I have watched the movie hundreds of times, So cool fact. I do remember that they said in the movie they live in Aurora il which makes it a bit strange it was filmed somewhere different.
Scott, if you are looking for the MerthMobile, Rick from Pawn Stars bought it from a guy who had paperwork stating it was the THE screen used car. He had it restored & then sold it. Not sure who bought it! There is a video on CZcams showing it being restored under Pawn Stars. After Wayne's World came out A radio station in Edmonton K97 had a contest in which you had to break into a AMC PACER the fastest. The window was rolled down just enough to get a coat hanger in . The rules were you had to open the door the fastest. The winning time won the car & a $5000 car stereo. My friend won with a time 1:38 seconds. The problem with a Pacer was the door pull was in the middle of the door panel & was vertical so you had to bend the coat hanger over the arm rest. Not very easy.
