Thank you so much for your empathy. Your and Tiffany's kind words brought comfort. Thank you.
I've never been so tempted to buy a $200 book. I could have watched Tiffany review it for the rest of the show 😂
Sal's Kindergarten Cop reference secured our generational kinship.
I genuinely think we are seeing a softer side to Jonah and treating him like another Uncle Ben because they are setting him up to be the person who dies to drive home the power and responsibility lesson for Peter. I mean in this issue when he pulls Richard aside to encourage him but also to talk about how he learned about purpose and responsibility then gives him a book he wrote about life lessons.
I've got a bad feeling that Spider-Man is going to inadvertently cause his death and a grieving Peter is going to stumble across that book.
Im really hoping im qrong because i really love the dynamic Ben and Jonah have and how they both look after the Parker family, but it has been a concern/theory of mine since th 1st issue.
I loved USM 8. I love the tease of Venom and I hope it is just AI Peter because that’s a good commentary on the world about how scary and powerful AI can be and can hold a mirror to Peter about how he truly is as a husband and risking MJ’s life by being Spider-Man and how as a father he doesn’t spend a lot of time with Richard.
I also hope Harry vs Peter is about what with great power comes great responsibility means. For Peter it could be helping the villains see the light. Bringing in more good people into the world with kindness and compassion, for Harry his power is his weapons and will power and he feels like he needs to kill all the villains so the good people can flourish.
Thats what I think could happen and would be really fun and interesting.
Overall, still a wonderful issue and the JJJ and Richard sequence was my favourite thing since issue 1
If they auction off the couch, they will be surprised and slightly disturbed how much someone would pay for it.
the loudest people complaining about the new bat logo are people who don't read comics and therefore don't understand that THATS not replacing the standard batman logo
Ya trying to yell at James Gunn to change it was just funny
*Or* people can just have their own opinions and simply just don't like it, which's totally fair
I don't "hate" it myself, but I ain't the biggest fan either: I'm just letting it slide 'cause I do like the idea of it doubling as an axe
Shouldn't it be "Wolv-R-ine" for short?😂
I personally don't like the logo design, just not bothered enough to have any strong opinion on it.
Same. It looks kind of dumb to me. But I'm still interested in checking that book out.
West Virginia mentioned on Comic Pop!
If you took that logo and looked at it from a good distance it would just look like a blank rectangle. Massive failure.
Damn it Sal. I just finished purchasing my comics (digitally) and I noticed Batman: Offworld and I considered it but decided to skip it since I've bought so many books already. And then you just had to say the book is great, which made me buy the book anyway since you have excellent taste.
Absolute Rectangleman 🤭
The logo looks ridiculous, of course it must have a deep meaning, but they could have done something more stylized for the new batman, superman and WW are way better, that being said, a logo does not determine the quality of the story or the art, people need to chill😂
Tom King writing The Authority would be so good I need his version of Midnighter and Apollo! I'm hype to read the rest of the Jenny Sparks series! Also haven't we had enough snide Brits critiquing Yanks ,where are my Yanks critiquing Yanks books!
I’m as big of a Batman fan as they come, I think it’s important to embrace change and give new takes and ideas a chance. So the fact people are genuinely upset about the Absolute Batman logo??? is nonsensically silly and ridiculous.
I couldn’t find the red band version of wolverine on kindle/comixology, is there another way to read them online?
I don't especially like the absolute batman logo, and if it was all i had to judge the book on, I'd be hesitant. But I read the ashcan, and holy crap that was fun. And once that hump is crossed, who cares about the logo.
31:14 is my favourite 🤣
Any chance you could review one of my comic books?
5 BUCKS for Batman?
wtf I feel old.
They were 60 CENTS when I started.
GET OFF MY LAWN
😂😂😂
More tangets pleaseee
😍 that is a beautiful looking book
Tiffany have you been following the Zatanna black book series?
Yes!
Congratulations on making the finalist in 2 categories for the CBC Awards ( Comic book popularity Awards ). I actually think ComicPop & ComicPop Returns deserve to be in it... the rest of the channels are questionable
Gotta agree with the vocal minority that Batman logos sucks especially looking at it in between the other two logos.
Honestly, same. I'm not excited to buy spikebrick man.
Dude I totally agree with you, if you show that logo to anyone outside the comic book space they're not going to associate with batman therefore it's just not a good logo
Same
Hard disagree I think it goes hard. When I see it I immediately think like metal rock kiss vibes with all the spikes
Worlds finest should add robin to the title because Dick has been just as big of a part as Batman and Superman 😂
Wolverine Revenge was 90% greg / 10% jon. The book was great looking but hickman seems wasted on this.
Hickman is having fun, he is one of the few writers who can be allowed to do this, nothing more
I'd say that Hickman just let Greg borrow his name for the project. This smells like something that was mostly done for the artist by the artist
If I were going to criticize the Absolute Batman logo I’d say it looks like a 60s Marvel font. Which isn’t even bad, it’s just a weird choice
So Batman’s new logo, can’t make fun of it or can’t criticize it, only a “small portion” online but like also “lol” wonder woman’s new logo “lol”. Seems fair. Makes logical sense.
Can you guys cover One Piece?
No. They have mentioned that Manga/anime is hard to cover due to copyright strikes.
Sals said a few times he’s not very much of a manga/anime guy. I think Tiff is but it’s pretty unlikely. If it ever does come try though I’d love to see Tiff host a Junji Itou back issues!
