Man, every single time I watch this video and read the lyrics, I feel like crying... This song is the one song which tells my story from beginning to end... Who would've thought I would ever find it...
based on the lyrics & the video scenes, TY is the type of guy who loves a girl in secrecy because he's afraid to confess his love. he makes a lot of implied actions of his love, but doesn't directly say it. he's the type of guy who sulks because the girl he wants falls in love with another guy who had the courage to confesses his love for her. the girl doesn't love TY the way TY loves her. it's very clear she loves the other guy. she smiled when the other guy "rescued" from TY's proposal.

That's why in the song he expresses that when they fought he hoped she would come to him and leave the other guy. When TY grabbed her she was at a party or something and didn't know what was up so ya she's gonna be looking like that.
