Derek Reilly is back with John Murray from John Murray Headshots to visit all the Tesla Irish Supercharger Locations over 24 hrs. Nothing too serious, just a good laugh to be back on the road with John.

You really showed how easy it is to travel around the Country in a Tesla without using other Charging Networks. You should do a similar one using Ecars and Easygo for comparison.

@@NevoEVReviewIreland I hear you. We get the same with event recaps. Always feels like a great way to cover lots of EVs in one swoop, but viewership is always low 🤷

I know it's an old one but I found this video really handy. I have a Model Y ordered. The primary reason for going for the Y (along with the price reduction and 0% finance) is that it can tow our caravan but the big concern there is how you'd manage to charge while towing. Seeing the setup in all of these, I think there's plenty of room to unhitch, charge for the few minutes you'd need, hitch back up again and be on the way in most cases, without being too much hassle to yourself or anybody else.

Very welcome Niall. A new video is due soon. I like the setup of the Fastned chargers on the continent as they are drive through so perfect for caravan towing and trucks for charging,

Been twice with my M3 LR to Ireland, Connemara and Donegal. ESB 50kW Chargers worked well plus parking in the town center, never missed the Tesla SuC. On the continent I do prefer other companies as well since the Tesla SuC charging prices are now amongst the highest (Ionity level).

I think, as mentioned, it's just the integration of it all. I went Ireland to Poland & back some months ago & literally didn't do anything other than set navigation to where I needed be at end of day. Car figured out which superchargers along route & payment was already on account so nothing more than grab a connector & plug it in.

Derek, in the video you mentioned that there is an upgrade coming to the chargers in Birdhill saying that multiple ESB chargers are going in there. Where did you hear this and where can I get more info? Love your videos. Keep them going!

Hi Derek. The model Y you used in vid say's long range. Did you use 2wd or 4wd version. Trying to work out which Y gets the SEAI grant. When I change my EV6 in Jan 24 I am going for Tesla Y. Need the room for wheelchair. Thanks.

@@NevoEVReviewIreland Applegreen set to supply their own chargers on all sites apparently. I just wondered when the Tesla lease is up for the Castlebellimgham M1 site? It would sorely missed as the most convenient hitching post on the cross border M1/ A1 route with numerous facilities to hand. Although the food court and toilets could do with a refresh, especially the male facilities…. Work is well underway at the Tesla Belfast Boucher Road Supercharging site, finally, after first being advertised as “Coming soon” back in 2015, supercharging in Da North/ Northern Ireland edges closer to fruition…… I’ll be truly excited to see a Supercharger on the route to Donegal or Derry/ London Derry, your Supercharging round trip could well take more than two days at that point. Please keep up the fantastic content!
