Maestro Shashank Subramanyam is a senior flautist in the field of indian Classical Music for nearly four decades.
Trained by Gurus KV Narayanaswamy and Pandit Jasraj, Shashank is known for several noteworthy contributions to the field of Flute playing and the art of instrumental Carnatic music.
A recipient of the Knighthood - Chevalier award from Govt of France (2022), Sangeet Natak Akademi’s Senior award by Govt of India (2017), Kalaimamani from Govt of Tamil Nadu (2001), Grammy nomination (2009), A-top ranking in the All India Radio, among many others.
He has performed in over 50 countries as a soloist and a collaborator with Jazz and Boroque musicians, Jazz bands and symphony orchestras.
Shashank has published more than 80 CDs and 10 DVDs.
