    Neelesh ji, I liked the Mahabharata samvat introduction. And that you have as well included Vikram and Shalivahana. Hope this can unify the different calendars.

    Nice introduction. We in Himachal use प्रविष्टे and month names are magha falguna etc. But there is too much confusion for me since Indian National Calendar is Shaka but people follow Vikram samvat.

    Neelesh ji, in Kerala the name of the month is based on the Rashi. Is there any reason you choose to names like Tapasya ? Good thing is that there is referring of Veda. But there is additional things to remember now. I anyway like Tapasya and the vedic names.

    • @NileshOak

      What are the names used in Kerala?

    • @shardula-ai4ourkids169
      @shardula-ai4ourkids169 Před 3 lety +1

      @@NileshOak currently it is Kumbham month. The names are Meenam, medam(mesha), vrishabham, mithunam.. till makara masam(like masa in Marathi). Slight change in the name between Sanskrit and Malayalam.

      @@shardula-ai4ourkids169 Thank you.
      The use of those months will be problematic due to the precession of the Earth's axis.
      You will see as the course proceeds.
      Thus the use of placeholder Solar month names from Taittiriya Samhita is a better choice.

    Nilesh, please consider spelling Ritu as Rrutu. (phonetically nearer to Sanskrut pronunciation)

    Nilesh sir
    Instead of taking Mahabharata war date for dating Current year which good practice for Indians
    My clarification is why can we consider Krishna birth as key point for dating current date
    Please suggest 🙏🙏

    • @NileshOak
      @NileshOak  Před 3 lety +1

      Great question.
      The reason for taking the Mahabharata date (5561 BCE) is because it is established based on super-rich evidence of the Mahabharata text that can be tested and corroborated based on 12+ different disciplines of hard sciences.
      There are few uncertainties (unknowns) relate to the exact age of Krishna.
      Hope this helps.
      Nilesh
