Interview LUDOVIC DE SAINT SERNIN for ODDA MAGAZINE 17

Born in Brussels, raised in the Ivory Coast and based today between London and Paris, Ludovic de Saint Sernin studied women’s wear at Studio Berçot and interned at Balmain and Saint Laurent before launching his first men’s wear collections under his eponymous brand. After being a finalist in the 2018 LVMH Prize, the designer quickly attracted fans and critical acclaim for his signature subtle and sophisticated silhouettes that embrace gender fluidity, queer narratives, sensuality and homoerotic themes. De Saint Sernin’s work constantly pushes boundaries, strikes down barriers, and most notably reshapes a more contemporary and fluid make up of what we understand as masculinity.
