Hecate was indeed the best and also the strongest, even Shana couldn't beat her in the slightest.

Hecate is a pure and clean Personality. And she is also one of the strongest Characters in the Series. I like her. And I Love Shakugan no Shana.

It's her role
Much like Tenpa Jōsai for Alastor requiring the host as a scarifies. Hakate is the scarifies for Saiki Reisō of the God of Creation.
If you look at the series, Hecate is sometimes referred as the priestess. In Japanese culture, priestess, or miko are both servants as well as sacrifices to gods, both being the role that Hecate plays.

Hecate is more stronger than Shana.
Not even Shana was able to beat her.
No in s2 the were equal but at the Final season Shana is stronger.. well the more accurate one is Shana only beat Yuji because Yuji have not enough time to improve his new found spells plus even without those original spells of his he is stronger than Shana if the God of Creation did not left his body the Flame Haired -red eyed Hunter feared due to the reason that the enemy is fighting against a God's Vessel and can summon the God itself to the real world as its last trump card the reason and the God of Creation is ancient god who is born before Alestor the God of Destruction were born which mean the God of Creation is stronger but due to him being sealed and being extracted away from his body his strength is not as the same as the original that's why Hecate is sacrificed and used the treasure that felis created to gain enough power to create the new world plus they did it on mid night. Which mean during the Fight the God of creation is not at full strength even then yuji still manage to fight shana equality at her full potential and real strength while after the creation of the new world the god left his body as a result yuji lost his black flames, and hair snake like whip abilities and strength that rival the god of destruction vessel even thought the god on his side is not at full power.
Both Gods are born in the same realm as true gods the other god pick the tomogara and become their god and the other god pick the human side "flame hazes" as a result he is called a dark god by tomogara since tomogara , renee, king of guze and Gods of the crimson realm are all came from the crimson realm" all flame hazes contractor are King of Guze who manifested in the real world by borrowing a human vessel and sending their power the same as the God of crimson realm "God of guidance, Destruction and creation" the four gods of earth are not real gods but only a mere title they are powerful king of guze contractor " powerful flame haze" and the other tomogara did not pick up vessel instead goes to the human world to devour human.
The Rift where the new world Xanadu is created is in between of the human world and the Crimson world, For example the Priestess a special being rank about King of Guze is born due to the wishes of the Tomogara and connected them to the God that answer them "The God of Creation".
While the Bard is equally the same are of the Priestess but did not represent a faction "flame haze/Tomogara" but represent the Gods itself as a whole which is also a special kind of a King of Guze like the Priestess "Thats why at the end of the series flame haze talk to him the bard to represent the proclamation of the God of Destruction which ended up not enough for him to use his ability since the God of Creation grand order far surpasses it but due to johan and felis merging into a new type of existence a half-king of guze half human mystes the baby is acknowledge by the god of guidance as a result it far surpasses the grand order of creating a world which resulted in the bard connecting everyone on the battle to the God of Guidance and ended up messing with the law of the new world since the Gods nature is to grant wishes and maintain order even if the god doesn't like the new added law for his new world that he created he has no choice since its all what the tomogara wanted he also did not block the flame hazes to go to the new world under the order of the god of destruction while the god of guidance remained on the original world to pick up the left over power existence enough to fix the damage done to the real world returning lost existence and even returning yuji's human body back.
if The God of Creation is a good God in reality while the God of destruction is seen as a dark god or evil while the god of guidance is neutral.
She's my favorite in the series. She reminds me a lot of Jirachi

Shes kinda a tragic character, like i always have the feeling she could have a chance.. Well in the end, im kinda relieved shes not alone. I used to hate Sydonay but him caring Hecate in the end is kinda relieving somehow
