Hopefully the DEV team balanced out the characters this time around. Geez, the first one had a select few that were waaaay too overpowered like Himoko Toga- tentacles shoots across the room, follows you in the air, goes virtually through anything followed by speeding blades. Basic combo turns unbreakable deflecting your backup team, and guarantees to pin you on the wall just to roll into another combo. Her Quark breaks your guard. WTH? Takes the joy and fairness out. Yeah I'm salty đ

I feel like this is the exact same case as Xenoverse. Xeno 1 tested the waters while Xenoverse 2 made improvements to the overall game to become a framework for long term DLC plans, updates, balance patches and expansion in general.

@@typhoon_abm5691 Yeah, Storm 4 released before the Kaguya Arc had even reached its climax, so I skipped over the last season as well (especially those unnecessary dream filler episodes). Went back to see Naruto and Sasuke throw hands again though. That part was definitely better in the anime.

I'm excited for this game, but the people who will get the most out of the $60 purchase are going to be the ones who never touched the first game while the people bashing it for looking and playing the same way as the last one make no sense since that's how sequels usually work. The jump from tenkaichi 1 and 2 wasn't huge, but it definitely was a sequel worth getting. IMO, the game should be $40, but if they are going to update the game and support it, I'm 100% OK with the current price tag.

@@trickytrouble6679 because when I did the video with afro, I was not at all happy with the game being $60, but I took a step back and looked at it from a different POV of the game (the sequel) being a lot of people's first my hero game and having possible post launch content and updates as well as possibly getting a better story mode and team ultimates. Notice how my comment literally says "the people who will get the most out of the $60 purchase are going to be those who never played the first one" I also brought up the fact that if one's justice 2 has a trash story like the first game, then it's definitely not worth $60. I didn't say it was a cash grab, I simply made sure I stated that it was not a $60 game, specially if the content is mostly online based.
TBH new characters mean a new meta.Playing online was, in my experience, just fighting hundreds of meta teams. So even 3 new 'good' characters would make this game worth it.
Plus Mina (My 2nd fave character) but that's more personal.

Honest opinion here: I'm hyped for this. My Hero Ones Justice added something that nobody seems to mention. In the fact that it was immensely floaty. In most cases that would be a bad thing but the combat in the Anime is also floaty so it worked well for me. I've been waiting for DLC characters because the 3 characters we did get in the first game brought a lot to it. So I'll be picking this one up with no hesitation.

Real talk though, I think people need to give this more of a chance here. The game was literally just announced. We don't know the extent of the content, we don't know how different it FEELS to play, we don't know how big the campaign is, what new features there are, online modes, costumes, etc. We only know some characters and seemingly the roster size, the graphics do look better too imo, in a similar way to Storm 3 to Storm 4
Taamo I was thinking the exact same thing. The game is coming out in 2020, so there might be more content things that there waiting to so off later.

To be honest, I'm hoping they add some kind of 'make your own character' feature. It would be really cool and it would definitely give it a more defined line between the original and the sequel.
Like they add different hair types, clothes etc, and then you get to choose from the existing quirks and abilities what your character will have.

This was actually really helpful. I was Team Cash Grab, but the numbers alone got me.
Itâs possible they release a first game as a limited version just to give players something to play, while in turn looking at a bigger picture continuing from the base of the first game with double the amount of time to work on the second, and the option of adding more, thus doubling their efforts making a better game overall, focusing on longevity and player satisfaction, something like the storm games, adding more and more things to the base sequel while working around the same premise

Friendly reminder that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 was released back in 2016 and is still updating their game with the latest characters, even adding new features and story
and Attack on Titan 2 covered seasons 1 and 2 back in 2018 and has recently released a DLC that covers the rest of the seasons
Let me add that Street Fighter 5 updated their game with new moves as well as Soul Calibur 6 along with a 2nd season pass

3:26 completely flawed logic. The entire reason for releasing an entirely new game in the series is to incentivize people to buy it, including people who already bought the first. If you seriously think that they would have gotten the same amount (or even close) of money for just releasing all these new characters as DLC in the first game, which was rapidly losing its player-base, you are sorely mistaken my friend.

I wanted to 100% the first game, I genuinely enjoy the gameplay of it, but dear god... to do a mission mode you need to boot up the game, wait on a load screen, select mission mode, and which missions to do, wait on a load screen, pick your characters, select the first mission, wait on a load screen, beat the fight, wait on a load screen, pick the next stage, wait on a load screen, repeat the last 4 steps.
A buddy just asked me yesterday why I didn't buy OJ 1 when it went on sale a couple months back. I said since the anime isn't anywhere near done I'd rather wait for the "Storm 4" version of the game. But damn, now I just might cave in. When a sale comes out of course.

Because I redownloaded the first game to try and get back into it if I decide to get this one and when I had 157 points it made me fight someone with 66010
I feel like this video kind of misses the fact that objectively speaking, this game is a cash grab. Them not supporting the first game isn't unrelated to this point. They aren't looking to make a Kill la Kill IF, where it's pretty clear the developers were passionate about this small project. They're trying to make a new Storm franchise. Every two years, slightly updated characters and graphics, mechanics being added, changes in the story mode, these are all just to facilitate people thinking the game is worth buying. Something can be a deal or a bargain and also a cash grab. Keep that in mind.
The thing your missing here, is almost every fighting game goes through the same process, especially sequels. Almost every sequel in a fighting game is practically the same with updates here and there, with a new story and characters. Sequels in general usually always use the assets from before and maybe a bit of an update to gameplay while just changing/continuing the story.
@@zackrose6261 The problem isn't using the same assets or making slight changes, although I would say that such practices are only so consistent because of the immense pressure to make fighting game iterations yearly, the problem is that Byking is very clearly only making these slight changes so people keep buying. Because they know people don't trust them. Its lowest possible effort to keep people engaged with the idea of One's Justice as a new Storm series.

I think it's the fact that the MHA one's justice story mode was very bad.
Most people play Story mode and do there Solo content,play a bit of online then they drop the game but they are happy and consider it a good purchase.
Ex: Storm games good story mode for anime content,Online always Add one or two core mechanics set by step and the support after launch was never there (One big patch per game)
If you think about it, every sequal to a well recieved anything is a cash grab unless you planned a series from the start.

This is very similar to persona 4 arena ad Ultimax. You got pretty much the same game, but many existing characters got new movesets, a bunch of new characters, and a different story mode. In the end, though both games had the same base, Ultimax was worth paying for, just due to how much the game varied to the original.

As a programmer (not a game dev) any - and I mean ANY - changes you would be doing to a new game could have been patched into the old one. However 'could' doesn't mean 'should' old systems always react badly to huge overhauls, maybe some of the stuff they changed would cause such massive bugs that it wouldn't be worth it do keep going with development, since it would slow down character releases A.K.A. the main way they make money.
Please just give me Aoyama so I can keep playing this really good Arena fighter.
I just wish the pace was faster. The time in between each hit looks like it's in slow motion at times.

It still is a cash grab they could have updated the game instead of leaving it. They left the community with no idea that they were doing something behind the scenes and decided to overprice the second one for almost majority of the same content.

I have the feeling that a lot of the people that say it's just a cashgrab only look at the graphics and style of the game, which are pretty much exactly the same. But I love that they left the style as it is, because it just looks good.
There is a certain game that soon gets it 4th entry, where I don't understand that no one uses that argument there. OP Pirate Warriors 4. I only played the third and saw a bit of the others, so my question, did these games changed in any way except the story getting new chapters? But I don't wanna hate on another game. To be fair, the $50 total DLC characters is a valid point, but honestly the better thing to do would have been to release the characters as S3 and S4 DLC packs, along with the new stages and additional story chapters, for maybe $10 or $15 each, and kept putting out balancing updates. We wouldn't have gotten the new features like sidestepping, but I'd rather have those DLC packs than get a new game for the same content plus some added features. It is a better alternative than individual characters, though.
What if this game has tournament mode?
I didn't get ones justice 1 because I didn't think there would be a huge competitive scene like there is for DBFZ. I really love the anime and characters so I'll be picking up the second one I'm just hoping it comes fully polished and people do tournaments for it.
As long as, instead of making a third, they just update this one (the newer, better version of the first one) itâs all good.

I already like the changes with area, decay actually has combos, I think the plus ultra gauge will factor in counter system, to help you during spam mostly in air, the block in air better and especially the fall block lag, auto block would be nice. From what I saw maybe have team finishers
What makes the game better?
One Hero Justice the original runs on my potato lappy around 25-30. The 2nd one however runs around 40-60 fps while looking better than the first one. I think they did a goodjob from optimizing the game
If the switch version actually runs then yes (I only own a switch, I dont have a gaming PC, PS4 or Xbox)
The combat looks smoother, the camera isnt having to much of a freakout so you can tell which character you are and Shigaraki's kickass coat
I know that BANDAI is just the publisher, but looking at this game rn, it might be the same case with the PS2 Naruto games that had the same publisher.
Meaning: *as soon as a new arc from the show comes in, a new game will be made instead of updating/adding new characters.*

Most of Ninja Storm's games don't really change much from one to another. The bigger differences are the balances and the new characters or combos. And still, everyone (myself included) used to buy them all. If you really like the franchise (Boku no Hero Academia) then, I don't feel like it's a problem that the first game is not really different from the first one. If you buy it, you'll be supporting the industry and you'll have as much fun as you had in the first one. Just my opnion though. (My english is bad cause I'm Br so... yeah... )
Yeah dbz and naruto do the exact same things all the time budokai, budokai tenkaichi and raging blast they just more characters, moves and stages. I'm not saying that bad you're playing the same game over and over again but with more and better improvements
Minor nitpick here: *just because a character is sold at 2.99, does not mean that character is WORTH 2.99* , so multiplying 2.99*17 does not justify the price tag. They could've easily added a season pass, price tag 30$, containing all of this content, just like Sword & Shield is doing.
the difference is that there are new characters, character customization, the ground may break and other stuff may break in maps, a new game mode.
I couldn't get the first game and didn't even watch the anime but loved your content and the tournaments that you hosted, so if a sequel brings more of that then i am pretty damn happy about it

Being a person that only just got done watching all of mha in about 2 weeks , Iâm so keen for it , never played the first one , only really played dragon ball games but apart from that , this game looks good and I reckon itâll be good
