I sadly came in late, thought you guys were painting concrete. was totally disappointed. Then, I restarted and figured out the deal!!. love your content. I know this is old, but digging deep trying to learn. Thanks for the content.
I like how you put the bloopers in the end. They are entertaining. thinking about doing my driveway now.👌
Thanks for watching Hank!
Hank Hill what is the reason for this ridiculous music I had to mute button the whole time I'm sure you could have just better than that

Apparently he's not interested in b4 and after...wonder why
Another Awesome Video Nicely Done ✅
That looks like paint. Came out nice bro. Good work
Thank you! 🤙thanks for being with us’
What color is that? And who makes it?
Great Job
Wonderful & easy
Nice job boys.

Thanks Charles!
the mentor we never had, but now we do...thank you
Glad to help
Easy when you've a perfect base to work on.
True
It looks great! I'm just wondering how this might old up in a humid environment?
good job
Excellant info and awsome job!
Nice long strokes. Good to know I've been doing it right all these years. I've seen too many times where they roll it in small blocks and all those overlaps look like crap.
Love your videos Chris, they always help me paint better. Does an 18" roller not work well, just curious why you selected the smaller one for this. Very nice finished product.
Chris, great job and I love the final look. I have also thought about doing this to my driveway however I have always been worried about what the driveway will look like after winter and what my snow shovel will do to the stain. Especially after the snow that we had last year here in the Boise area. Any thoughts on that? Thank you.
Hi.. you are such great teacher. Learned a lot from you. Can you advice if we need a primer on this concrete. You generally recommend first coat of primer.
Looks Awesome!
Thanks!
Thanks Chris 👍🇺🇸👏
Nice job!
Thanks!
Looks nicely done! What stain color code is that?
G'day mate, I was just looking for a video about how to paint my driveway, your video is good but I need to know if I need to seal after or leave it like this. Cheers from Sydney, thanks a lot.
Yup, we are going do this to our driveway next!
Wow great results. Love your videos!
Thank you!
what is the painting per sq footage rate in Idaho? & how much does a gallon of that stain cost?
i just did this myself on my front concrete porch and it looks beautiful. Used the same color was a very nice update to our bare concrete
Heather Robbins
Wht colour u used and company ?
Varun Ghai I did it myself and used sherwin Williams products. Same grey color as this video
Update: Sadly this stuff keeps coming up on me in the winter time only. I used the same color and from sherwin Williams I have to put a coat down every winter it looks like it ☹️Should I use a top coat?
@@JulyRobbins you not sealing it???
Cam23 nope. Sherwin Williams told me I did not have to seal it.
GREAT Info!
Thanks for sharing. How well does it hold up to powerwashing when you need to clean it.
Paint is awesome asseores
Thanks for watching Paul!
Good video. Looks nice.
Thank you!
Thank you very much for your knowledge you are saving me a lot of money in Expensive San Diego California.
Your welcome 🤙
I had to give you a thumbs up for the blooper....Thanks for the info!
Thanks for watching!
I note it will not bond to oil stains and needs to be recounted each year to maintain the look. Will it impact adhesion of tiles if we decided to tile further down the track? (I suspect that will be the case)
How do u avoid roller lines when using a solvent based product? And if rolling over a sprayed texture should u prime first so I doesnt suck up the stain so quickly?
Good job Chris .. Your videos are always great an so helpful 😎
I like to know what color it is and stain they are using. I like to do that to my driveway ( apron ) and sidewalks.
Why is the second coat in the opposite direction? Is the first coat good and heavy too? Do you want zero overlap with each stroke or some overlap?
Awesome
Do you need to make sure all oil stains are removed before hand also?
Any details on the stain used?
love ur vids. with i could come work for you. no one over here wants to spend any money and it feels like theres not enough money in work to put any love into it. always rushing to make a profit. such a shame as its making me resent the job. if you fancy a foreign exhange program lol
Did you offer silicate paint or perhaps out of the budget?
Is a painted driveway only for certain temperature areas? What about Southern Canada? And how long does the paint last?
Is it better to use Stain or Paint like Behr's for a Driveway, thanks Bob
is this product slippery to walk on when wet and how well does it hold up to hot car tires?
U make it look so easy. No matter what I do it never seems even or there are roller marks...guess that's y u are pros
Yeah I'm thinking I will probably just hire somebody to do mine, or leave it. I poured some concrete for a patio in my backyard and I use some charcoal color just for the surface, It looks all right but wondering if a new layer by a pro would be worth it. I really don't want to spend a ton of money on it If I can use that money elsewhere.
What’s the difference between concrete stain and concrete paint? In your opinion is one better or worse than the other?
Look good now long will it last
Good job! Looks great. What color is that? Thanks
So long ago cannot remember
Do you need sealer after this?
What paint do you use?
Which one is the best paint for a concrete in one skatepark?
Love the video, thanks for the info... would love to see before and afters in videos like this!
Awesome, we will have to include those
Does that chip like the home depot porch and patio paint
Why not use an 18" roller
I have a question maybe you can answer. I have an EIFS insulated house. Can I stain eifs to bring a little color to my house?
If u are using paint what is stopping it from peeling off after x years? Would look disturbing since part of it will be there while others wont.
Can you please let us know what type of paint and brand that you have used????
the stain product is it like some sort of 2 component product, you got an A and an B product mixed together? how is the end result? hard surface? i did 2 huge floors in garabage rooms with a 2 component product, damn that was rock solid afterwards, didnt even use a brush or roller. used a hard squeegie :D
why did you apply the 2nd coat in the opposite direction? Im just curious as to what the reason is and If it affects anything. Thank you for your time Chris and Thank you for sharing.
going the oppoosite direction prevents missing some, its more likely you get an even coat.
I want to stencil a pattern onto concrete blocks. Should I stain first, or paint? And, is it possible to use a paint over a stain? I want to do whatever will last.
I don’t see the video for power washing did you have to strip it is there a link for it
How much did you charge for this job if you don't mind me asking
Hey Chris I like wht u do i do a lot of spraying myself in ky just curios why u chose to roll it instead of spraying it
because the concrete is like a sponge... it will penetrate much more paint with the roller
Looks amazing! What if the driveway has been previously painted?
The stain we use can go over it or bead blast it
Does concrete stain chip or fade away in sunlight like paint does?
Could you have done this with a paint sprayer? Would that work?
I was unable to find the paint in California, how long does it last, is it water base products.
How many square ft this project and how many gallons did it took to do it?
It looks like the driveway was already sealed with something instead of and unfinished concrete. Is that the case?
Hi, Love your CZcams channel. Question, I live in Los Angeles and have a someone painting my outdoor concrete patio with concrete paint. He plans to use one coat and apply a epoxy clear coat to protect and to last. The epoxy he is using is mainly for indoor garage floors but but patio is not to much in direct sunlight. Does it sound like its the way to have it done and will it last long enough with one coat of paint and one coat of epoxy?
I would never do an epoxy that is exposed to direct sunlight and the epoxy would have to be compatible with the paint, which it is probably not.
Acrylic stain? What’s the life and maintenance like in 2 to 4 or so years?
Can I stain over existing stain?
Can you seal it after paint ?
Have you ever try using Portland cement the old school way concrete resurface with a brush ? It actually looks good and make concrete look pretty nice
Seeing the finished driveway against the house would have been helpful
What color did you use
Hey Chris what kind of discount should you expect from a place when your starting out from a place like Sherwood william
I wouldn't expect a discount until you start using them regularly, and it depends on how much you buy from them
What would you recommend on an exposed aggregate driveway? Thanks
Do tires mark it up?
before and after photos?? woulda been a good idea.
Really Im like wtf where is the all done photo. No closure
what solid concrete stain do you recommend
Do you remember which HC solid stain color this was? Love their products and your video.
Thanks!
Sorry I do not
Do you always use a 3/8" nap for driveways or do you ever use a 3/4"?
I have 2000 square feet of drive way and walkway. It has a 15 year old concrete resurfacer that is all popping up. Paint is the cheapest fix, but I need to grind the resurfacer off first.
chris will the product fill a few small Cracks in concert
The beauty of this product is that you can have it tinted in any color Sherwin Williams has ,also the SW store in my town painted their walkway almost 8yrs ago and it has held up well, there are some bare patches but this is an industrial place and they get tons of foot traffic and stuff being dropped on the concrete all the time ,so for home use it should last you many many years ......
Thanks for sharing Brian!
Which Product was it?
What product is it!!!??
Brian Smith sadly mine hasn’t. Every winter I have to restain my concrete porch that doesn’t see much traffic at all, the product keeps chipping/breaking off in places. I prepped everything correctly and used all sherwin products and the shark grip. Idk what else to do I have bought more gallons to restain this spring maybe a top coat on top will help?
How about just spraying liquid iron?
I dont see you using the bucket grid? is that really needed?
