One of the most beautiful songs ever and with such beautiful lyrics. I truely can rejoice and praise our dear LORD with this song💛🕊️🙏🏻 and this is first time listening and reading lyrics with my new found personal and true connection, faith and love for our Jesus.( or if u grew up reading and learning Hebrew,)I think it's Yeshua. But beloved brothers and sisters the good Lord knows our hearts and knows when we pray to him we must not fight about certain names. it's true it's good and great to get the truth out but always pray to the Holy Spirit and get your own truth from him. I subbed and ofc thumbed up this video. Be grateful dear ones and I pray for you all to be eternally blessed by our Almighty Father.☺️

2nd verse you got wrong, Hymnal 1982 has it as God from God, Light from Light eternal, lo! he abhors not the Virgin's womb; only begotten Son of the Father; 3rd verse it should be glory to God, glory in the highest 4th verse is incorrect it is actually See how the shepherds summoned to his cradle, leaving their flocks, draw nigh to gaze; we to will thither bend our joyful footsteps 5th verse is: Child for us sinners poor and in the manger, we would embrace thee with love and awe; who would not love thee loving us so dearly? 6th verse is Yea, Lord we greet thee born this happy morning! Jesus to thee be glory given! Word of the Father now in flesh appearing
I think there's nothing wrong or what you say is in correct about the lyrics , and even what you have of the lyrics...the good thing is all of the lyrics as well as your lyrics are base in the Holy Bible... And when it is base from the Bible... It's correct and right.
Yes, this is not based on the Hymnal 1982, these are the original words. Though we aren't 100% sure who the author was (Wade or the King), so it is hard to know what exactly the original words were.
