  • | San Marino Travel Guide: The Repubblica di San Marino: Did you know that Europe's third smallest country is in Italy?
Located one hour from Bologna in Emilia Romagna, Italy and accessible through train and bus. The country has a medieval vibe with a unique characteristic which makes it feel like a country out of the Princess Diaries. First, you can get a you passport stamped as San Marino has their own visa. Also, I arrived on San Marino's Presidential inauguration day. San Marino has two presidents which change every six months.
In this Republic of San Marino Travel Guide, I share things to know and best things to do in San Marino, which are also top reasons to visit San Marino.

I had no idea San Marino was a country by itself! And the presidents changing every six months?! Wow! The two president system sounds interesting. It made me wonder if that could ever work in the U.S. Having two presidents-each from a different political party. Great video!

I know ~ and to think they've had over 20 female presidents for years! All of that would change our history so much. Albeit they are peace-loving and small. With more people it might be harder to unify, but you never know.
