Lots of "mentors" all over the internet and overly exaggerated techniques especially when it comes to grip. You explained it crystal clear and simple. Thank you so much.

Thank you a lot for the clear and bright narration. You have covered all the basics in 4 minutes. Amazing!
Thanks for the video Shaun, I'm struggling with applying side and getting my straight cueing but what you said about the knuckles and not raising/lowering the cue makes a lot of sense!
I have always had a lot of respect for Shaun but it’s just gone up a lot more after seeing the two maximum breaks in the exhibition that he played! Maximum respect from Huddersfield pal and you have got a good personality for these type of videos. Subbed tommy
Straightforward, simple, easy to understand and uncomplicated advice. This will be a great help to peeps looking to improve their game. Ty.
Came here late, but no one had ever explained all of it so effortlessly and simplistically. Shaun's one of the greats.

such a talented player and yet so modest. thanks Shaun, and have a good luck !!!
Thank you so much Shaun!!! the stance checking tip is excellent, no one else explain this before. I have been standing the wrong way for years.
One of the best cue actions in the game, top stuff!
Best basic vid ever. I tried pullback today just by lowering the knuckles & it worked. Had struggled to control it before. Again, thanks for such simple yet great tips.
Thanks Shaun, you've always struck me as one of the more decent blokes on the snooker circuit. My snooker skills are very limited but I love playing so I'll take any advice you've got.

Thanks for the key note of left side of right TOE. I used to find it difficult to find the exact part of the foot to be in line..now i feels comfortable with toe in line. Thanks a ton!
Thanks for the tips shaun. You’re legend 🙏🏻
great video, thanks for the advice on the stance, I don't usually pay any attention to it, just pick up the cue, I'll follow your advice in future.
Really clear and professionally put over ,great tips Shaun
This was great. Extremely informative. I always enjoy fundamentals. Wish there were new/more videos.
Briefly straightforward and to the point. Thanks a lot.
Shaun you are excellent would be an understatement. Thank you for extending your expertise and teaching us.... Please continue in teaching us all... It would be helpful if you can give us the "eye-view", what you see when you are potting the ball, kinda like "go-pro" headcam view.. "Go-Pro" can endorse you as well :)
Thx so much Shaun! I was just watching Wilson v Murphy FINAL 2020 Welsh Open, and have been puzzled about this. So I did a search and this video came up. Super!
Hello Magician. I usually keep track of your videos as they enlighten me through complete controle over the basics, rules and technics of the game. On behalf of everybody watching the videos, we appreciate and thank you for the hard work. Snooker is one of my favorite hobbies for after work leisure activities, and no manner how many hours I spend playing, I still can't get the cue to be straight through mu chin, and it hurts my back when doing that, which also causes me to miscue. Please guide me through how I can get a hold of that. much thankful for you man. Godd bless and goos luck!

Thanks Shaun, these are all great tips. I'd love for you to come back and do some more youtube, though i know you must be busy with other stuff at this stage of your career. I like you a lot, though i know some have a problem with you (for some reason), i think most of these people, including my father, havent seen what you're truly doing andcapable of these days, and I really love your perspective on being professional and somebody to look up to, as i saw in your video with Stephen over on cue tips. Best of luck to you for future tournaments, please know you've got myself and my mates (-21ish) into the game. We love you, give every tourney a good crack mate xx

There was 147 comments before this! Great tips tho, I almost don't want to comment so you don't go over the 147 comments but really enjoyed these tips, especially about falling forward. Definitely going to test that one. Cheers Shaun, absolute legend.
Great video!
Thank you for making these videos, Shaun. Just wondering if you change your grip depending on the type of shot you're going to take. I've always been told keep a light grip on the cue, even if I intent to hit the cue ball hard. Thanks.
great video, thank you very much.
Thankyou, very helpful!:)
Gotta love this man. 🤙🤙❤️
Hi Shaun, nie to see you're videos. They are really good and to the point.
I myself as an advanced amateur player, I doubted many years about when playing with side, and when not.
I would love to hear an explanation from you concerning that :). Iv'e talked with Tom Ford for example and he told me he almost uses a little side on every shots. Other ex-professionals like Bjron Haneveer I know says he rarely plays with side only when it's necessary. Some pots seemed easier for me playing with running side. Now after playing over 20 years I've started to change a lot of shots playing center cueball, where i was playing before with running side and as far as i know most shots seem a lot easier.
Thank you very much if you would reply on this message.
Daan
Just what I needed,,,thank you

03:40 casually hits a shot and lands perfectly on the black lol. Shaun is just brilliant!
