Case Study: Corrective Pruning a Neglected Apple Tree

When neglected, apple trees will develop a flopped over form. In this video we will correct some of the problems found in this fruit tree. Additional pruning each and every year will eventually turn this neglected tree into a masterpiece.

The tree looks great, 1 question though, would you remove all of the water sprouts in the summer to help open it up for sunlight penetration and size control or would you wait until dormancy?

Either way would be fine. With everything that needs to be done in the summer, I don't have time to manage waterspouts, but it is a good strategy.
