FYI if you have xbl Gold/ultimate, all your saves should be automatically backed up in the cloud, so as soon as you log into your same account and launch them on the series x they should be there

I just plugged my external from my 1S to my SeriesX. Seemlessly plays games and saves. No formatting or nothin. 🤞

The external you have won't work with the new Xbox.

Do you need internet access to transfer save data or can you do that manually offline?
For those whom have the new xbox and you're trying to do this: if you get an error "installation stopped." Your xbox isn't broken. Make sure that no games are running on either xbox. I forgot that I had Cold War running in the background on my old xbox and was going crazy hahaha

When transfering data from Xbox series X to SSD, do you know if Quick resume data are also saved? My game crashes and i can only play it by resuming

If you have fiber and not a small monthly cap, I would recommend downloading the games. My network transfer was capping at 90Mbps while just downloading from the web was around 250Mbps. It wasn't worth the wait for me

Ok so... There's this thing called an external hardrive what you need to do is plug it into your one and transfer the data after that sell your one, buy the X/S and plug in the external, you then should have a pop up saying would you like to transfer the memory from your external to your X/S press yes and all of it will automatically download into your new console

I feel like if you play next gen games on the og xbox, you're going to have a lot of compromises, sort of like Bo3 on the 360 type of deal.
like all other gens, you'll probably get most all the games for the 1st year or so of the new generation but after that it'll start trailing off and after a few years you'll be getting very few new games on the old hardware
Of course, if you don't mind 900p and unstable 30fps then it will still work well for you.
Ill get back to this in 2 years when i can yoink one

If I play a game for about 3 hours and save the game on my Xbox One, then I do a transfer on Xbox X, do I still have the same save file for that game or do I need to restart? (Hesitant about starting AC Valhalla on my Xbox One)
The game data should load when you start the game up but sometimes it doesn't & that's the problem I'm having, apparently you have to go on your old system, go offline, play it a lil bit then go online with enough progress then it should save it & upload it to the new system

I have an og xbox one, and series x. The xbone was so slow that it was faster for me to just insert the discs and reinstall than do a network transfer.

Cloud save is a thing if you use your Xbox one account it’s like your Xbox one games save on cloud save not the console

the transfer of the rdr 2 from xbox one to xbox series succeed only for the online part, the single player data didnt move over, ive tried a several times...

You have to download the Xbox One version from the Store on which ever version of the Xbox One you had or...just go to the store on your phone/computer & download the Xbox One version

Hi maybe someone can help me here.. I bought a Xbox one x cyberpunk console and recently got a Xbox series x.. I transfered all my games successfully except cyberpunk. It shows its been downloaded but will not allow me to open. It says do you own this game and will not allow me to play.
