- Most people share a common reaction when they see a bug is, “Eww… gross,” or “Kill it with fire!” But have you ever wondered how important these little creatures are to planet Earth, and the survival of the human race? As it turns out, humans would be in big trouble if all insects disappeared.
Lets together find out what happens in such a scenario in this timeline video.

Actually a lot of plants are pollinated by wind, so we'd not starve and chickens will still be able to eat grain, because it does not need pollination.
This is true, I think wheat can grow without pollen, and many others, so it would be a shortage but not end of humanity
True. Retrieving food would be harder but not impossible. Also people are looking into how humans can pollinate and fertilise plants easier so there wouldn’t the end of humanity.

@@businessmanbrute2211 You still need meat. The food chain would leave the smaller animals (rabbits, frogs, etc.) starving, and then it affects the bigger animals (foxes, lions, tigers, etc.), which will eventually lead to us humans (unless we eat seafood).
I used to think that insects were useless. But now, you just changed my mind!
All animals are useful in one way all animals are useful one way or another but no one thinks so. We all talk about dogs and birds being abused but never about insects. All lives matter no matter what they are
Mosquitos arent useful, but theres still a few manmade species that dont feed on blood... Anyways

Spiders are arachnids, centipedes are myriapods etc not insects
They technicaly are sub groups so it still counts
but there still insects they are small, and have 6 or more legs alongside being invertebrates.

Invertebrates basically means an animal without a backbone.
Invertebrate is the big group and the sub group consists of insects, arachnids, crustaceans, myriapods, annelids etc.
(E.g) Ur not going to look at a crab and call it an insect right? Bc crabs are crustaceans
Conclusions: arachnids, crustaceans etc aren't sub-groups of insects.

Actually humanity wouldn't die off, it would just be a little harder to get resources especially with the other possible methods of pollination such as wind and the other pollinator animals still being around to continue the pollination process only the animal food chain is affected by this.
I mean there is less food in the world. Rich countries will barely be effected but in poorer countries where there already is a food shorteage people are not so lucky.

My favorite insects are the praying mantis (I’ve had multiple pet ones) and roly polys (I played with them when I was a little kid and still mess with them occasionally)

My favorite insect is a bee. They look cute and they have a hard time pollinating, They should get the love they deserve.
Aside from Africanized HoneyBees. They can burn in hell.
They don't technically CHOOSE to pollinate, it just happens when they drink nectar. Some bees cut flowers to they don't get covered in pollen.
