It is a good thing that David pretended to be blind before getting married to his loved one. He would have been making the biggest mistake in his life. Even though he was blind his beloved c helped to care for him but she had one flaw. She stole his money, his watch and other possessions too and cast blame on his maud physically and verbally abusing her. She later dismissed her from her job. However she did not know that Mary was David's sister and not literally his maid. David was not blind and knew that his girlfriend was the thief. He later pointed this out to her. She was shocked to know that and begged for forgiveness but it all fell on deaf ears - she simply had to go. She did not love him but wanted him for his wealth
