Hi everyone! In this video I'm showing you the steps of the first soloist variation from pas de trois of the famous ballet "Swan Lake".
I filmed this video at home so it should we super easy for you guys to learn it at home as well because memorizing doesn't require any space at all! I hope what I'm showing is clear and you find the video helpful! - Zábava
A unique young dancer with so much to give to her audience.
You explain everything so well and with a natural empathy toward your audience. You are charming, and a pleasure to watch and listen to.
My teacher yesterday told me to learn this variation and you has just made a video teaching it
You saved my life 💕✨
How lucky are we to be watching this? Thank you Maria!
It's so beautiful to see step by step the choreographic construction of variation. When we see it on stage it's beautiful, but behind it there's a lot of hard work.🔥
MARIA KHOREVA YOU ARE AMAZING
Thank you very much for your class! You are a great ballerina and teacher!👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you for teaching from my heart!
I've learned much about noble port de bras&head position.
Oh my gosh, wonderful, thank you!!
Love your dancing and thank you for teaching us. I definitely will follow your classes. Your posture is so graceful!
Bravo. So graceful. I enjoyed following along! Thank you !
Sometimes I feel relieved in such crisis thanks to dancers like you sharing helpful and inspiring content that lightened the world up. I'm doing all your videos recently even that it gives my so much muscle pain lol. Thank you sincerely. Wish you and all the dancers would be able to go back to normal soon! ❤️💐
Thank you!!! I love this variation, I'll try to learn it, great explanations!! Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱😊
thank you so much for these classes! you're one of my favorite dancers. 🤗
Thank you so so much for your tutorial!!! Please do more you truly saved me!!! And you're exquisite!
Tomorrow I will dance this variation with my
Daughter!
Thank you so munch you teach me a lot of beauty 💓
You dance so grateful and beautifully.
Wonderful! Thank you for showing us, and breaking it down to the single movements. Not that I could follow along :D it just helps to identify the steps and learn how they are combined to create the dance.
I like this part of Swan Lake, I always wonder why the Prince cannot fall in love with one of the beautiful, very elegant, and REAL young women that are present in these scenes. Why, oh why fall in love with the impossible woman that is out of reach? Well, I guess there wouldn't be much of a ballet in that case ;)
Just tuning in now, at the end, last few minutes have been very interesting. Normally I don't watch videos longer than 20 minutes. But this seems worth it.
Me encantó el video, muy buena explicación, muchas muchas gracias 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Lovely! You are a wonderful teacher!! And of course, a wonderful dancer! Thank you!
I love, love, love this dance but never got to perform it. It's great to see the choreo and get to learn it anyway, thank you so much💓
Thank you so much for this! You explain it so well. I would looooove to see more repertoire tutorials.
I'm never gonna dance this as I'm not a dancer, but this is a joy to watch
This is awesome Thank You!
could you do video about ballet technique?🥰
So amazing❤ i wiil dance this variation in this year❤
---Chassé en tournant is what I am reading from people who are commenting on the french term for term you're asking about. If I remember my french correctly it literally translates to "chase in turns"...which makes sense as you are turing. It's like each turn is chasing the turn prior to it.
..
----Maybe the term in Russian being pancakes references the making of a pancake...the mixing of the batter or at least that's how I interpret it as i mix the batter pretty fast when i mix the ingredients
hahaha i’ve no ballet experience but i’m attempting to learn this :D your teaching is making it so much easier!
OMG you are sooo good I can't😦😦😦😦😳😳😍😍😍😍😍😘😘😘
And yes! I remember now my Russian teacher calling them pancakes! I cannot remember the reason though - maybe because it pancakes the tutu - or something to do with swirling dough in pan for pancakes - those are my two guesses!!!!
Love this❤👍👍
I love you! You're mi idol Maria
Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
So beautiful.
Oh maria, i love this variation and even more if i learned from you

Hi María 💐❗, when I was young , I danced this paso de trois, it's very kind, and about The last step on diagonal I think that it can calls ," chasse turns", thanks you'll be a graet Teacher💐💐❗

Hi Maria, at 18 minutes it’s called chassé tourner ☺️
My Queen

Hi Maria, Brilliant! How about teaching the pas de trois from Corsaire?
Very difficult for me since I am a beginner to pointe, but very fun class! Could you do a beginner pointe variation?
👍👍🌹🌹🥰🥰
Can you teach us Don quixote act 3 please!!! I love ur dancing❤️
You are always so beautiful & cute🥰
I’ve never heard “pancake “ for “chassé en tournant ” May be it’s comes from “pancake landing” of the airplane💁🏻♀️I’m not sure🤣
In russian people call the movement "blinchiki" which is a type of thin russian pancake which is ubiquitous in russian culture. I think she just made a direct translation.
Well done. But I wonder when did the position of the arms disappeared from demonstrations. I see my students use (misuse) the arms like Maria does, I wonder if it’s a new generation ‘thing’.
In "English" it's called "chasse en tournant." Which is French, lol.
Positions and movements in ballet are in french. And she said about pancakes
In Russian it would be called блинчики which means pancakes. So yes there is a difference!
Hii! Video about pointe shoe preparation please, thank you
Was it a sissonne and pas de basque in a diagonal or a sissonne soubresaut and sissonne ouverte?
I'm pretty sure they're called pancakes because the first motion is flattening your foot and pressing it onto the floor like a pancake? At least that's what my teachers would tell me
"Блинчики" по аналогии с "блинчиками", которые получаются на воде, когда ты кидаешь плоский камешек, и он летит рикошетом, оставляя за собой множество кругов на воде. czcams.com/video/YitEDO5AfqM/video.html
My ballet teacher growing up who was a Bolshoi dancer said it was because your body should be completely flat like a pancake while you turn, especially sucking your booty in, no arch in back, everything in line.
We in Germany call it “blinchiky” too😅
In Israel we also call them Blinches /blintzes! I didn't know it's russian .. Lol
i teach the step as a chasse saute en tournant - pancake??????
Do you speak spanish? Is that l only know spanish and l want yo tell you a few things but in spanish because if l write in english l have a translator if you know please write yo me
U only know Spanish but u type this comment in English? (No offense just a joke)
