    Awesome. Replaced our Dahua system with Hikvision today. This will help us monitor alerts 5,000 miles away.

      Thank You Julian. There are some subs that give me a hard time about my New England accent and I am a little rough around the edges. I appreciate that comment!!

    Hello Fred, For my Hikvision system, the area settings is defined by drawing lines to create the shape you want to monitor. The problem I am having is the last line seems to have to be very precisely connected to the point where the first lane was started to complete the area. If not you get an error that region is invalid and no crossing line is allowed. Do you know if I can reset the area to the full frame or a way to allow the lines to be connected easier?

      You can hit clear to clear zones. But drawing the rectangle can be tricky until you get used to it. Right click when done.

    My NVR doesn't show up on SADP. How do I fix that?

      What exchange server are you using for your email? (google, office 365, yahoo, etc.).

      @@WentworthCCTV using gmail but could try another?

      Google is tough with their SSL encryption. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I have good luck using Microsoft exchange servers like office 365, live or outlook. The video was actually made using a office 365 account and it works well.

      @@WentworthCCTV well I’ve tried outlook, yahoo and icloud and followed your method but still won’t work?? There is another tick box I have that you don’t and that is enable starttls

      Interesting. Have you upgraded the firmware. Have you made sure those ports aren’t blocked in your modem or firewall? That’s the only thing I can think of

    This worked - i now have notifications but no matter what i do i can't stop them using the app toggle bar. Or using the schedule ?? it's just 24/7 email and notifications. HELP ?? :-)

    • @WentworthCCTV
      @WentworthCCTV  Před 2 lety

      You need to log into the NVR or DVR itself and disable the alerts in the email settings.

      @@WentworthCCTV Thank you, really appreciate the reply. For some reason i was hoping the schedule on the app would work for emails as well as notifications to the app. I guess i'll look at arming schedule as a way to manage the task.....although that kinda defeats the whole point of having cameras lol.
