Old to gold? $200 1967 sears runabout boat w/ 75 hp Evinrude restoration Pt.1

In this video we do a walk around and talk about our next project/restoration which is a 1967 boat from sears we got for $200! What the heck is there something that sears didn't make sheesh.

This reminds me of the 69 crestliner buccaneer that my family had when i was a kid in the 70s. same faded aqua gel coat and lapstrake hull.

I’ve got a 1965 sears 170 run about inheritance from my grandfather and the last time it was on the water was 94 it has the original Johnson 75hp super seahorse… any advice or problems you ran into with the boat itself I’m in process of trying to get it back on the water and get this old motor fired up

The one on this boat is a evinrude 75hp and its a 1963 i believe. I have a crestliner with a Johnson 90 and its a 1989 i believe. Hope this helps 👍

Lol my sis lives in Florida which is why I wanna move down there lol but I’m trying to figure out why my 1986 Johnson 90 won’t stay idling

@@mrbeskar3825 well the idle circuit in the carbs could be plugged up if it wont idle if its not that your spark plugs could be getting ready to foul out to and if its not that could be electrical maybe i dont know a ton about these v4s.

I understand that brother lol but no it’s not the spark plugs cause they are brand new

DO NOT use Clothesline, it is not Flexible Enough, nor Strong Enough to last very long, and it is only a short matter of time before it will break.
