- Back from my travels I'm sharing a really quick, beginner friendly crochet project for these fun crochet coasters. I loved the idea of designing a mini granny square in a circle and this was the result. I wasn't sure to share this project, but I ended up using these myself so I hope you enjoy them too!
Suggested Materials
- 3mm crochet hook or similar
- Sport/Baby weight yarn in 2 colours (yarn weight 2)
- Yarn needle and scissors
Every Friday I will be releasing a quick and fun crochet project for you to help use up all those left over yarn scraps. I hope you enjoy and feel inspired. If you have ideas for future Yarn Scrap Friday tutorials then do let me know in the comments below!

Love these. Thank you. Making a set for our friends Beach house in Oregon. Of course I'm making them while we're here for a little thank you for the stay. So, again, thank you!
You have such a delicate crochet approach. I might have to go toward thicker yarn 🧶🥰
Easy to follow tutorial, cutting and re-attaching the yarn makes for a cleaner bottom for me. Will be using up all my scraps on coasters like this.
I follow your work, always easy to follow with amazing finshed items. Thank you for your passion and artistic mind.
Much love for Toronto 🌹♥️

This is so cute! My parents actually just got home from vacation too, a bus tour all over, through Switzerland, Austria, Italy, and ending in Paris! They had an amazing time but said it was soooo hot!

Nice work 😍
Thank you!
i love ur tutorial the outcome is so cuteee
Loved this tutorial! How do I go about flattening my coasters? They dont seem to like to lay flat.
👌👌
so cute. can you do a scrunchie tutorial next pls
Great suggestion!
Happy berry, this is lovely, such succinct instructions and great camera work. Can you please say what yarn you used, cotton? I think these would be great in Christmas colours. Also please how do you continue if you were making coaster plate size? Thanks again so much. Theresa
Yes I used Catania by Schachenmayr which is a cotton. To continue you would increase the next round as 1dc in the next 4, then 2dc and so on, like a normal circle. You could also increase the granny square too before starting the circle, lots of options.
i like it although its not straight
how can I fix it? also thank you for the tutorial
Do you have this for left handed people
Very pretty but fast as well, as a beginner it was hard to follow but the end result is pretty. Again, I wouldn’t really call it beginner friendly
You can slow the video down!
♥️☮️🙏🏼✨
But what if you want it bigger?
You could either use a bigger hook and thicker yarn or you can add an extra increase round of 1dc in next 4 then 2dc and continue that way 😊

I love this pattern, and will make it following CZcams; I would buy it off your site, but you don’t take PayPal and I will not give my CC out.
It's free on my website...
I'd we actually had end tables this would be great. 😑
😄 I'm using mine on a box on the end of the sofa, no end tables here either lol
