    great review!! We stayed in a treehouse villa years and years ago. I'm sure i have pictures somewhere amongst the boxes of stuff we moved, but i haven't been able to find any as yet. The villas looked different back then, more modern looking and there was a lower floor with a winding staircase. That's how i remember it.

    We loved staying there for Christmas 2015. Had a tree and made Christmas cookies. It was a great celebration. That twin bed was ultra-comfortable.

    Plan on booking one in 240 days for my sons golden birthdays, which happen a month apart. First time going to treehouse, great video.

    FWIW, I slept for 8 days on the couch/bed and it was fine - no issues. We had 8 people (5 kids, 3 families, 4 adults) and yes, very cramped for only 2 bathrooms especially. The second bedroom is right next to the bathroom - VERY noisy. The sounds of the horns from the boats were kind of loud - best to get one that isn't near the water. The long bus ride waits were the killer though - no bus goes to a resort, just to Saratoga Springs from where you have to catch another bus.

    • @HereWithTheEars
      @HereWithTheEars  Před 3 lety

      This is a really unique stay, but it does have its issues. We usually just did a resort stay when we stayed here because it was so time consuming to get a bus to go anywhere.

    It's a very pretty room, I really like the idea of just being in the 'forest'. I still think the Polynesian Bungalows are my favorites but these are a great 2nd I think!

    Awesome video you guys! Literally is amazing! This room changes my mind about the Wilderness Lodge 3 bedroom Villa. Can both of you tell the One night cost of the Treehouse and the Wilderness Lodge 3 bedroom Villa if you remember of course? And in the twin bedroom, I think you didn't noticed a hidden Mickey is it all down the window just to let you know!

    • @HereWithTheEars
      @HereWithTheEars  Před 3 lety +1

      These rooms are very different in size, with the Treehouse having a lot less space than any of the 3 bedrooms. The price of the treehouse (cash, not points) is about $1200 a night. The cost of the 3 bedroom at Copper Creek is roughly $2400 a night (cash, not points). If you're using points from your DVC membership or renting from others you could be paying anywhere from 25-50% off that price.

    When we went down the river from POFQ I looked longingly at them. What kid inside all of us doesn't want to sleep in a treehouse?! I just wish I could find someone in our family to split the cost with us! There are only 3 of us.

    • @HereWithTheEars
      @HereWithTheEars  Před 3 lety

      That’s so true. It’s the kid in all of us. ❤️ Do a friends trip instead if you don’t have enough family members to come. We had lots of friends stay with us in this and played games all night. 🥳

    I like the treehouse villas. I do think if you don't really have room in a bathroom, don't put a tub in the shower. That's just weird. Although, a hot tub on the deck would be really nice. 😊

      @pamdesalvo8219 Před 3 lety +2

      Thank you for the room tour. We’ve always thought how nice it would be to stay in one of those when we’ve gone by them on the boats. But I’m thinking there are other 3 bedrooms that have much more common area space. But don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t turn down a stay there.😉

      The Treehouses have a single bus stop that takes you to the Grandstand section of the Saratoga buildings. From there, you can take a bus to any of the parks.

      They're not usually super common but the shutdown has created an excess of points that aren't being used. We've found them on forums as well as in Facebook groups and through rental companies. Last year expiring points were usually $10-$12/point 60 days or less out. This year it's been even cheaper sometimes, but those are usually VERY last minute (like
