i starter using 2.5 mg mounjaro, so far in 6 weeks I have lost 18 pounds. I have no side effect. I take probiotic and fiber gummies to avoid constepation. I eat low carb. coffee in the morning with stevia and milk, I eat around 1 pm, since I am not hungry, dinner around 7:30, I use keto bread very little, keto tortillas to make chicken tacos. Lots of water, some days zero sugar peach iced tea … I haven’t exercise much, I should be doing more walking … good luck everyone

The strength of hunger anecdotally is a function genetics. I have met people who genuinely just do not get hungry easily and can sleep for 14-16 hours without feeling any hunger pains. The first step to a successful weight loss program is being able to very significantly curb one's appetite: thus some us find great difficulty in achieving this.

Great overview. Very helpful and it’s a good starter education. When is it likely to be available via Canadian drug stores as Ozempic is now?? That could make tilt the economics in our favor. So Wegovy is really just 2.4mg of Ozempic? I had no idea…. Go figure. Anyway, we really appreciate your clear guidance.
There is a LOT of BS out there and straight talk from educated folks is essential to people being healthy. My question is, if you start on this and you lose weight, how do you best taper off?

Im on on mounjaro had my first shot I believe the doctor or pharmacy made a mistake and started me on the 5 ml instead of 2.5 ml and im pre diabetic so she stated right out shell never be able to get me to the highest. The first two days I was nauseous and bloated and tired , tha was 5 days ago and i feel fine with very limited appetite, which is so helpful to eat healthy and not be drag on by that always looking for something. I too did phen phen and felt that the feeling was the same i was very successful on that and very disappointed when it was taken away. I am concerned about being a new to-the testing but my biggest concern is if im stimulating these receptors when i stop will they still work or just be twice as hungry 😢 but here i go anyway 😅

you need to taper slowly, lower dose and taper by distancing the injections, instead of 7 days make it 8 days then 9 days … and by keep distancing you are tapering. However you need to check with your doctor, I am no diabetic, so it might not be ok if you are diabetic

Well, side effects causing brain cancer doesn't necessarily kill the golden goose. I had a big vascular tumor in my nasophaynx above my pallette at age 12, almost died when local EENT doc tried to hack it out. In a theraputic trial in 1973, got 14 doses of cobalt 60 exposure, burnt my throat, mouth, tongue, and left me on the spec, for sure. Grew a baseball size Meningioma by age 59, and had it successfully hacked out. But, started growing back, so, you can guess what they recommended...Gamma Knife!!!!!!!!! Cobalt can cure cancer, and cause cancer. And I went from heaviest kid in my class, to skinniest in 7th grade.
