The way you describe, it would be half closed. It's shaped that way so that a weak piece of plastic can hold open what could be a large, heavy book. I'd agree, but doing it this way maximizes the odds that any given viewer will watch each episode. For instance, I'm watching his one only because Ayoade is on it. But another viewer might not care for him and might watch to see Gabby (it's not inconceivable). Also it helps keep all these mainstays of the panel shows in work.

I'm german and I have only seen half and half scarves of teams who have a fan-friendship. For example a club near me, Borussia Mönchengladbach has a friendship with Liverpool and so many of their fans have half Mönchengladbch and half Liverpool scarves.

There are literally millions of people in the UK with more charisma than her who could do her jobs to at least the same standard after training and garnering a tiny bit of the experience that she's accumulated.
