The staff can’t put another person on the slide and are notified by other staff who are watching the slide at all times so they can’t put another in until the slide is empty.

Oh I have tried this technique on a few slides in the Wisconsin Dell's and results are extreme speed and potentially dangerous. Not recommended for all slides.
