How much does it cost to open a petrol pump in India? : Investment required to start petrol pump in rural and urban areas. Total investment is around 50 lakhs to 2 crores and it depends on locality. It will cost less i.e 50 - 60 lakhs in rural areas but in urban areas it will cost more because it is difficult to get license.
How much we can earn from petrol pump? : The average margin in Petrol is ₹ 2.25 to 3.07, Diesel is ₹ 1.20 to 2.0 and lubricants is ₹60 per liter. So your should earn between ₹ 20,000 to 20,00,000 per month. The average earning should be ₹ 3-5 lakh considering average monthly volume of 40000 liter petrol and 1,50,000 liter diesel for Indian petrol pumps.
How does a petrol pump work? : A suction pump (Suction) works on a principle of unequal pressure. A lower pressure in the fuel tank pushes the fuel up the pipe to the dispensing nozzle. Most modern fuel pumps use flow valve to regulate and measure the amount of fuel dispensed.
How many petrol pumps are there in India?: 26,849 of these belong to Indian Oil (IOCL),14,675 to Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) and 14,161 to Hindustan Petroleum. IOCL has more petrol stations than both Canada and the UK. The Punjab state of India has approximately 3,300 petrol stations, and the state of Haryana alone has more than 2,500 petrol stations.

इतना ज्यादा इन्वेस्टमेंट करने के बाद मुझे लगता है के इससे होने वाली इनकम बहुत कम है । आमतौर पे ये देखा जाता है के जितना पैसा हम कारोबार में लगारहे है वो एक साल में वापिस आजायेगा या नही जबके पेट्रोल पंप में ये होता नही दिख रहा । बस एक चीज़ ये के आप बे फिक्र होकर बिना किसी टेंसन के पट्रोल पंप से पैसा कमा सकते है ।

In our village I have applied for an IO outlet. I have a competetor as well. On a lotery system, he got selected. But he has the following problem:
1) On the lease agreement of the plot the dimention of the plot is smaller in area as compared to the specified area in the advertisement.
2) There is a church located just 150 ft away from his plot.
Upon inspection of IO, will they accept the above mentioned problems?

*Applicants having suitable piece of land in the advertised location/area either by way of ownership / long term lease.
*Applicants having Firm Offer for a suitable piece of land for purchase or long term lease.
Applicants satisfying these criteria will be allowed to progress to the next stage, wherein the final decision is made based on a draw or lots or a bidding process.
