South Carolina could really be solid this year. Not a conference champion contender but being a Mizzou fan myself, I know that a team can go from middle of the pack to playoff contender with the right pieces.

We might have some growing pains on offense with a lot of young talent, so I think our run game will be what we lean on early on, the defense looks a lot better and has way more depth, so early on the ground game and defense are what needs to carry us.

@masondavenport3666 You bring up a very good point. He ran for almost 200 that game with two TDs and he was also the leading rusher for you guys last year. Imo he’s by far your best player on offernse, but I’m curious to how y’all will do this year. I should predict Clemson next.

@@GamecockSporty when you do keep in mind last year they had the most snaps for freshman out of anyone. Also had tons of injury at WR and it was the first year for kade klubnik and first year with garret riley. Good video tho you kept it real being it was your team. I have a bet on the gamecocks over 5.5 wins

7-5 this year at worst.
We ain’t losing to Kentucky! Muschamp is no longer here, and Beamer won’t give up. That team had more talent than us the last 2 years, but who won the game? Point is you point out all the good players Kentucky has without mentioning what we brought in as well. Vandergriff ain’t proven anything yet, and just because he transferred from Georgia means nothing.
We play LSU at home early in the season. Their defense was terrible last year and until they show otherwise, it’s still a work in progress. They lost a Heisman winning qb who was taken in the first round along with 2 receivers. You don’t replace that kind of talent very easy.
Kiffin might be a great recruiter, but he is a terrible play caller, and we get them at home after a bye week.
We get Texas A&M after a bye week as well, and they’re breaking in a new head coach who was middle tier in a terrible conference. I’m not sold on his ability until he shows what he can do an against much better teams.
I think Mizzou takes a step back this year after taking into account what they lost on offense and defense last year, coaching included.
Clemson is on the decline, and until Dabo starts using the nil system or the transfer portal, that descent will continue.
That said, we should beat Old Dominion , Kentucky, Akron, Vanderbilt, and Wofford, which gets us to 5. Of the remaining 7, 4 are at home, 5 of them are beatable in my book. If the offensive line and running game improve as it should, that takes a lot of pressure off of sellers, and if the defense plays as it should, there isn’t a team on our schedule we can’t beat. Stop with the hard schedule excuses, and the we went 5-7 last year excuses. We went 5-7 because we lost 10 starting offensive linemen. That would have plagued any team in the nation.

@@MrGamecockFan21 I have us at 6 and 6, so going 7-5 is not out of the picture at all. The reason I picked us to lose to Kentucky is mostly because of timing like I mentioned in the video. It’s Sellers first conference start of the season, first road game, and Kentucky tends to be at their best in the beginning of the season and playing a team that’s a lot more physical than you are at the beginning of the season is a bit of a disadvantage in my opinion.

For those in the comments saying 9 wins...The gamecocks have 7 seasons out of 116 that they won 9 games...What did those teams have? In the modern era they have a proven QB and a good defense....This team does not have that. Let's be honest...a 6-6 season should be the target.
