Too much food for a 1 yr old .My vet has advised to feed mine just once a day and only home cooked food . I give him RC kibble in the morning and home cooked chicken and lot veggies with lil rice . Siya is very cute though!

Thanks and Welcome 😊 Mostly I am trying to give broth. If broth is over, she gets Pedigree. But you know them, they like Pedigree gravy a lot 😀

You can freeze it for months in ice cubes and take it out as needed to heat up.

Yes even i think so that dog should be given 2 meals only
2-3 meals yes...they are prone to obesity and should be fed by weight. I think this is too much food 😢 depends on activity levels too though.

My Shih tzu Hazel, is 6 years old. I have to put her kibbles in warm water for them to bloat up, and then I have to mash them and feed her.

I only groom the hair around her eyes. For body, I take her to a professional groomer. I was also scared at first, but it comes with practice.

Yes, Siya was having frequent bile/Green and yellow vomit because of the gap between the dinner and the next day breakfast. So, the vet suggested giving egg for dinner as egg is quite heavy and keeps her stomach good until morning. But make sure to ask your vet before you give as it might not suit young puppies.
Hi just a question can you feed raw veggies to shihtzu? Like cucumber, carrots etc?
No idea of cucumber. Big NO for carrots. Recently, I gave raw carrot to my Goody. It did not digest..

Siya also does this sometimes, especially for breakfast.. I leave it to her to decide when she wants to eat. Whenever she is hungry, she stands near me and twists her tongue. Only then I feed her.
Can you please share any home recepies for 8 weeks old -1 year shihtzu? At what age do you recommend starting home recepies?
I started home recipes after 4 months old I guess. Until then only kibbles.

My pet is 9 months old. I feed him 4 times a day. Morning and night kibbles 2 spoons, the same size as shown by you in the video. Cerelac spoon. One time dosa and veggies and another curd rice with veggies. He is 6.5 kg. Can you pl tell if it’s ok or is he over weight?

Pedigree is the worst food for dogs...made of cheap quality bi- products of meat and has so many fillers like soy,corn,peas etc. It is a slow killer as dogs end up with renal failure when they cross 3-4 years old. Without regular blood checks it is impossible to know if the dogs kidney or liver has any issue. This breed is also prone to heart disease and quality of food matters a lot to make them reach atleast 10 years ( senior age). Veggies should be cooked well so that they are able to digest them well and get the nutrition the body needs from these veggies. Add small quantity of organ meats few times a week like kidney ,liver ,heart, gizzard of chicken or any other ruminant ( goat, buffalo etc). Also omega 3( fresh fish or fish oil for dogs ) is very important for heart health of these dogs. Homemade food is good but if it imbalanced then it can cause more harm than good..obese dogs look cute but it cut shorts their quality of life and they end up with premature arthritis, poor heart condition and failing organs at later stages of life.

My dog hated pedigree or any store brought food, could never finish the few packs that I got to try in times we are outside on the road... Opted for carrot, beetroot, broccoli, boiled eggs which are a convinient option while on the move..

Hey! I have a 2 month old shihtzu. It's true that raw meat diets are great for dogs. But sadly India's meat standards aren't that great. So giving them raw food might result in a heavy allergic reaction. Hence we give them boiled or cooked meat. Hope that helps!
Agree with Swarnima. It’s so scary to give raw based diet. Cooked meat is also nutritional and most importantly, safe.

Don't give 4 meals to your shihtzu ... not even late meal is good for their health... I too have 1 yr old shihtzu 😊

Siya mostly had kibbles when she was until 5 months. Then I gave 1/4 to half egg a day and sometimes a bit of dal rice (recipe is in my channel)

Please do a better research on animal nutrition, this is not the way to feed a dog. They need atleast 50% meat in their diet. You are just adding carrot and sweet potato to basic stock. That’s essential a vegetarian meal. I give my shih tzu 100% raw meat diet of beef, Chicken and fish. Ever since he came to my house when he was 2 months old.

Seriously.... you're overfeeding the dog. I too have a shih tzu. Your video is misleading. Curd is good... but the amount of curd you feed is like???? Its too much feed for a shih tzu... that too in a day??? Its Dangerous for the dog.... as it would lead to obesity and other issues too

Poor shih tzu does not have nutritious food, only got crappy quality food and have to eat them all because she was too hungry.
